Ever notice how they never have a pve event. Every weekend is trials + every month iron banner. Smh

  • Regular crucible playlists are equal to strikes in terms of variety. Trials = the nightfall/raids Iron Banner however is a crucible event just like srl & crimson doubles were. There does need to be a PvE equivalent. Festival of the lost was an event for both though so you can't say PvE never got anything.

  • Yeah like once a year. Maybe twice. You get trials and iron banner.

  • Devil walker? Enemies move against each other ? Pack of wolves and swords of crota?
not the best but these are Pve events
• Those are as much of a PvE event as playing a different crucible playlist is a PvP event. Your logic is flawed because those are basic parts of the game.

  • The raids are PvE events, constantly available, and still people don't do them. The percentage of people who have attempted a raid versus the percentage of people who compete in Iron Banner is heavily in favor of IB. Now you can blame Bungie for not having Raid matchmaking, but the fact remains---> the Raids are not as popular as pvp "events". Why would the cater to PvE when parts of it are often ignored?
the thing is, i don't disagree with you
• No no no no raid matchmaking would be a colossal failure. Look at the whining about LFG. Matchmaking would be any better?! GOD no!

  • I did not ask for raid matchmaking. Settle down, Spazzy McGee.

  • Didnt say you did, I said it wouldnt work. Why blame bungie for not implementing something that wouldnt work?

  • Why do you even care? If you don't need it, you don't use it. Simple. Why throw a temper-tantrum over something that has nothing to do with you?

  • I'm not throwing a tantrum. Please do highlight any petulance? I stated it wouldnt work. And if it wouldnt work, why would anyone need to blame bungie for not implementing it? Thats the 2nd time I've spelled it out for you. Please try to address it without personal remarks, ta.

  • That's like saying the weekly crucible playlist is a pvp event. It's always available.

  • Its not like saying that, but i see where you are going with this. Noted.

  • Yup. It would be nice to have some public-type PvE event that didn't take as much coordination as it usually takes (me at least) to set up a Raid. Maybe someday.

Bungje realized that the my had bitten off more than they could chew midway through year one, so they reverted back to their Halo, PVP centric days, and hoped that no one would notice that they had bought a game that was marketed as the first ever MMOFPS....

  •
a game that was marketed as the first ever MMOFPS....
Where did they market it that way? It's not an MMO, and they've denied it being an MMO every time they were asked.

  • Go back and read the initial reviews... Virtually anyone that reviewed this game immediately after its release essentially said the same thing...

  •
Go back and read the initial reviews... Virtually anyone that reviewed this game immediately after its release essentially said the same thing...
So, people who didn't design the game, but reviewed the game called it an MMO when it's not (and the creators' said it's not), and then the reviewers are upset that it's not something it never claimed to be? That's like me reviewing ping pong and then complaining it's not an FPS.

One particular statement comes to mind... "If you can see it, then you can go there"... I can see plenty of areas that I can't get to... But there were plenty of others during the promotion of this game that led people to believe that it was much more than it actually was... That's why it got much lower than expected reviews right out of the gate... Even the most loyal of Bungie fans were disappointed with the finished produce after the way it was initially promoted... The game has never been what it was supposed to be.
One particular statesmen comes to mind... "If you can see it, then you can go there"...
I'm still not seeing how that translates to Destiny being an MMO, or how that statement means it's marketed as one.

  • We need a 'the enemy forces are moving' on steroids. Make it like firefight and we just might have something going

  • They tried to do that, without doing it with "prison of elders" and "challenge" of the elders. Then, when people blatantly abused the score keeping system, they posted their ridiculous scores in their weekly updates like...."hey gang look at what these super good players have done! They got exceptional scores!" It's a joke.

  • It could have halo 5 firefight heroic/legendary tier enemies in strength. Maybe make majors at that strength. Also dying to them decreases the current teams point total by 25% per dead teamate. If another teamate dies if the 1st teamate doesn't respawn decreases the total by 50%. Wipe? 75% score decrease.
