I was about 11 or 12 at a friends house. I didn't have an xbox yet so I was really excited every time I went over because I knew we'd play Halo!. The good memories are still there though. You?
EDIT: Don't forget to tell of the first experience or memories!
Posted by: fortifythamind Wow, I think I'm the youngest one here. I was 5 and I'd go over my friends house while his older brother was in school. We played the library and the flood scared the crap out of me.
I can guarantee you I'm younger than you.

Literally 3 years old, not lying. My dad bought a xbox a few days after launch day(or was it launch day?) with halo ce. I always so him playing it and started playing it. Then a year later he never played the xbox anymore and I took over. He got halo 2 with xbl. On my birthday I got a xbox 360 with halo 3 with xbl. Man so awesome. Halo ce was also the first game I ever played. I completed the game on legendary when I was 5. BTW after we passed the first level of halo ce it always said "could not find/load level" So we had to get a new copy. I don't play alot of games. This is one of the few I play and play the blam! out of. [Edited on 11.18.2012 1:49 AM PST]

I was 15. Still remember waiting in line on the day Xbox released back in 2001. I hadn't even heard of Halo, saw it being demo'd in a store the night before and got my hands on it....couldn't believe how great it looked and how smooth it ran. I cancelled one of the pre-orders at the store the next morning and took Halo instead and played it non-stop. I was the only one in the neighborhood that saved the money for an Xbox so everyone was coming over to get a taste of Halo. It really does seem like only a couple months ago, but it's been 11 years............

I was like 4 or 5 in 2003 I think. I played with my uncle and I always died, walked off cliffs, shot anything that moved, and only killed about 1 or 2 grunts every three levels. The first time I played Halo and new what was going on was in elementary school. I went o my friends house which is two houses from mine. We played local co-op on Halo 2 then rotated to Star Fox and back to Halo 2. Then Halo 3 came out and they switched to that. This is when I fell in love with it. We always played with rocket launchers and energy swords (I forget what map) or infection alpha zombies. My first Halo game I owned was Reach. I liked it, but not nearly as much as 2 or 3. I was 10, at my cousin's 13th birthday party in August 2002. He got an Xbox and Halo CE as a gift and we played The Pillar of Autumn together.

Oh man! I was about 7 or 6 and man i fell madly in love with it. i was beast from the beginning. I then fell in love with the silent cartographer map for some reason lol. And Hated the flood. 343 guilty spark the map creeped me out.

I think I was around 12 and I went to a friend's house and me and him played Halo 2 until 6 in the morning.

It was about a year after CE had come out, and I went over to a friend's house to spend the night. He told me about this cool new co-op game called Halo, so we decided to play it. Keep in mind, I had never played an FPS before, and the scariest thing I had ever seen was the Pink Elephant scene in Dumbo. So what does he do? He puts it on Legendary and we play through the final level. Actually, let me rephrase that. He gave me a pistol and a shotgun and told me to sit in a corner and shoot anything that moves while HE went through the level. I had nightmares from the Flood for a straight week, then couldn't wait to play it again next weekend.

I have a feeling I replied to this thread like 20 months ago.... Lol I was 6

Like 6 lol. I remember watching my dad play it on the pillar of autumn on the cutscene where MC meets with Captain Keyes on the bridge. [Edited on 07.19.2012 11:50 PM PDT]

Dunno, like 14? I just remember enjoying it with a friend. Since there we could only really play 1v1 , we made up some ways to play. Pistol vs Warthog was epic. One guy got front seat of a warthog, other guy got pistol. Made up a few obvious honor rules and had a blast. [Edited on 07.18.2012 10:15 PM PDT]

I believe I was 20. I remember it was a couple months after 9/11. It was most definantly a welcome hiatus from all the worries and stress swirling all around the world. I recall my friends 20th b-day was on 11/17 but we pitched in and got him an X-box and Halo a couple of days before his b-day. There are a few moments that really stuck out in my mind. 1.)Trying to get the hang of driving the Warthog I didnt get that it steered towards where you were looking. 2.)The Library level trying to figure out where the rockets were coming from... I still remember that one darn flood in the shadows with the rocks. 3.)The first time I got my hands on a tank *ownage* 4.)FINALLY killing those elites before they got into their banshees (I believe I held onto a sniper rifle for a long time to kill em) and then I just used the rockets to knock the banshees off the ledge. 5.)Realising the Mag OWNED 6.)Last but not least answering ads in the paper to attend lan parties. God bless those old Mad Cats lan hubs. (I still have the green cat-5 cables that came with them)
