Not so Jolly Holiday

Though this has been said before and will likely be said again in the future, what the hell is voing on with the Last Word portion of Jolly Holiday? Is this meant to be the end all be all of frustratingly difficult quests? Is this supposed to be more of a test of my patience rather than skill in the game? Perhaps it is meant to encourage cheating/gaming the mechanics of the quest(uneqipping and re-equipping TLW only when you have super up or about to win a match). I really do enjoy difficult content because it feels so rewarding when you complete, such as the Thorn quest line. But this does not seem to follow the normal goals of Destiny. The amount of randomness involved in getting percentage and KEEPING percentage seems to be aimed entirely at generating vast amounts of rage in even fairly skillful players. To add insult to injury this is only the first step in the questline. Most other exotic quest lines have rather mundane opening quests and culminate in a satisfyingly challenging event. This feels more like you pray to the higher beings that control the fate of gamers everywhere, pleading for succor from a seemingly unfair world. When you design a quest what are your goals for them? Is there a lack of oversight and playtesting for quests such as this? Is it "working as intended" causing many players to either drop the quest entirely, or use a cheating method to circumvent the whole idea of the quest? Is this something that is unable to be tuned or adjusted to make for an enjoyable but potentially difficult and long achievement? Did you want players to frequently and repeatedly get to high percentages of completion only to drop back zero multiple times? Why is that a good design plan, why is this the opening quest, and why do you still continue to lose percentage even after the 'end' of the match when killed before the results screen shows up. I have refrained from angry expletives but all i would to do right now is something incredibly destructive. I am tired of making progress only to have it all torn away from me in a single match. I am tired of having one weak team, and finding myself actively HATING my teammates because of their unbeknownst effect on me, when normally you play the match to the fullest and continue on to the next game. I don't enjoy hating my teammates, I cannot think of anything else in crucible that has gotten me so dang angry at people i don't who are just enjoying the game. This makes me want to quit playing this lovely gams because i fear quests such as this will continue to be created causing more rage in the pvp community(which has more than enough already). Why is this quest designed the way it is, or was it just a slapdash idea that indicates the quality of quests to come in the future? This quest makes me not want to purchase the upcoming expansion (melodramatic on my part? Yes, but I am being honest) for fear that crud like this will crop back up like a cancer.
