Problem is Bungie sucks at getting stuff out in timely manner when they're only developing for consoles.
Now they've dropped 'legacy' machines we may get content a bit quicker. Throw pc into the mix and we could be back to square one.
And at this point I'd only move if there was someway to transfer all my progress.
Doom plays very differently full stop. It's not just the 60fps it's a faster game overall.
(My friend did comment how shit the ps4 demo looked after he'd seen it running on ultra/nightmare on my 980Ti though XD)

1up for 980 Ti master race. Doom definitely is faster overall, but imagine that kinda gameplay at 30 fps and a FoV of only 65. That'd be godawful even with such solid mechanics. If not a PC version, Destiny definitely needs some visual improvements aside from just graphical fidelity.
