These posts are getting more traction for some reason, it's a disturbing trend.
Capping a zone is the easiest part of control, CONTROLLING the zone is the objective.
If they're were less people like you (who think you're some kind of hero for dying 20 times while trying to cap 1 zone) and more people who understood the actual strategy , there would be a lot less bitchin'.
And by the way, you can keep saying to yourself that people who don't have 9 captures per game must have been "farming" k/d , if it makes you feel better .
Just know that you're delusional about the contribution YOU have actually made to your team.

There are people who do try to lock down and hold zones, but I don't feel like this is the people OP is talking about at all. Far too many times you'll see people completely abandon the idea of HOLDING a point, or generally caring if it's capped at all. All they care about is where the enemy is spawning and trying get there fast enough to kill them. The people they're often going after are nowhere near a point. In doing so, they often cause spawn swaps and give better position for points to be capped.

I actually rather take people on my team who tries to kill the enemy as much as possible, while i can take the zone. Instead of bunch of "lets rush the last zone" people on my team. I also see a lot of people blindly running onto a zone to capture, just to instantly die because they don't try to clear the area BEFORE they start capping

Yeah this is a good point. Control is about capturing and HOLDING a point, not just capturing it. If anything they should boost the amount of points you get for a point defense/attack kill. But it's honestly fine the way it is.
