So your solution is: keep things the same for coins, but add even MORE opportunities elsewhere. And activate "smart loot" for the engrams. Exotics are already insanely easy to get compared to year 1. Outside of Xur, in all of year 1 I got 2x exotics that weren't bounty-tied. Now I get like 10 per week. If anything I think they should be become more scarce, with the exotics' effectiveness buffed back up since some are just now legendaries with a random extra perk.

It wasn't that hard. The only one that got nerfed, to my knowledge, was Achlyophage Symbiote. I'm curious to know which ones you find to be so weak now, because I've mostly had the opposite experience.

  • Yes, Raids had a high chance for "someone" to get something. But he is talking about strikes and crucible explicitly. Those rarely ever dropped back in y1. I saw Crucible an exotic drop for "someone" (never me) no more than 5 times in all of year 1. I never saw a non-Nightfall strike drop an exotic for anyone. Ever.

  • I've gotten three exotics from regular crucible and Strikes while seeing over a 100 drop in Year 1 IB. Not sure if you knew. IB was one of the best places for exotics. Just cause you never got one does not mean that it shouldn't be implemented in to be able to obtain exotics from other sources while making 3oC's an optional consumable.

    And we already have a method that lets people get multiple per week Last week I got over 10 alone. Mostly from crucible. I'm saying we already have an insanely common way to get exotics to the point they are no longer exotic. And you're ultimately suggesting even more ways I'm not trying to insult you or call the idea stupid. But ultimately your plan increases the frequency of exotics even more than the incredibly high rate I'm done here. Apparently I'm coming off as a jerk

  • Not at all, you're coming off with the conclusion that you are a jerk for feedback. However, with all new ways to get exotics this wouldn't just be to obtain them, well it gives people a way to not be forced to use 3oC's while also catering to people that like 3oC's. This also will add to playing many other activities as they will have a slim chance to drop an exotic. This won't hurt you guys anyway. For the ones that feel like 3oC's is fine, and nothing should be changed, well this won't affect you guys, but it will help people that feel getting exotics isn't as worth it anymore, and also taking away the exotic engram drop but still making it fair to people that like exotic engrams. This is aimed at making people happy. Wanting to play the game how they want it and not how Bungie wants it. 50% hates 3oC's while 50% like it. Why not find a way to coexist.

  • When most people talk about Exotics, they seem to only mention weapons. A lot of people didn't realize that armor pieces like the ones you mentioned received big buffs to them. You are very right though sir.

  • Not what I was trying to get to. My main thing is trying to make Three of Coins optional for our activities. It'd be basically the same thing as before, just more places to get them. Also think that this could also help so many other activities will be played more, patrols being a big example as well as Court of Oryx
