100% yes. Old gen is lucky to have lasted this long. I hope there is a way old gen can carry characters forward tho?

Old gen does carry your characters across as long as you get the console that is made by the same company. For example, if you move from xbox 360 to ps4 you'd have to start over. If you move from xbox 360 to xbox one you keep your progress
