POLL: ALL IN FAVOR OF DROPPING LAST GEN SAY AYE!
I'm not going to lie, they should have initially made Destiny for the current gen consoles back in 2013. From where we are today it's like people who didn't want to buy a Blu-ray player when their DVD player still worked. The current gen consoles have been out for 3 years almost... 3 freaking years! Those systems came out over 10 years ago! Get over it, I ate a pb&j everyday for 3 months straight to save up and buy the PS4. Yes I just bought the PS3 two years before. But I could tell a remarkable difference after playing it on the PS4
For those of you who wish to believe it plays and looks exactly the same check out the video, you will be surprised. I catch myself viewing out into the Cosmodrome all the time. EDIT 2: Thanks again for all the support guys, once again I understand what some people mean by having to change to a new system, buy the same game again. But listen to me and wait until they announce either a system bundle or deluxe edition ROI. It will save you lots of moneys and it will give you some time to save up and decide if sticking with your manufacturer or going to the "other" brand (Ps4 has exclusives 😄) Stay salty guardians and see you all in September!

1 ReplyAnyone who says it looks and plays the same is a fool. Go to moon:patrol. Look up. See the Reef? See how detailed it looks. Oh, those of you on PS3 and 360, it's not there. Go find a pile of helium coils. Look closely at them. Look out beyond the playfield, at the rows of solar panels and buildings, oh, on the PS3 and 360, they are not there either. I own both, and can assure you there IS a vast difference. The single biggest difference is needing to pop an ammo synth is the heat of battle. On last gen, you need 15 seconds or more just for the icons of the items in your inventory to load while there are 6 enemies on screen. You need a titan bubble or to run around a corner and hide hoping you don't miss out on the kill, or get killed while cursing at your 360 for taking 30 freaking seconds to load the menu! Yeah, they''re exactly the same.

5 RepliesShould they make Rise of Iron exclusive to current gen? No. Should they make Destiny 2 exclusive to current gen? Yes. Because Rise of Iron is running on The Taken King and on Destiny 1, the infrastructure is going to receive little change. You won't notice any major different at all until Destiny 2.

Everybody saying RoI will be no different - we don't know that. There could be things in it that may be too complex/too large for PS3/Xbox 360 to run on. Bungie may not have had a choice. Hold off assumptions.

im getting a part time job in 2 weeks when I get my id and upgrading consoles always have a price drop in summer and odds are bungie will probably make a legendary edition of rise of iron

The game doesn't even run at 60 FPS. It's not about quality, it's about money. [b]The problem isn't the tech, it's the company.[/b] I refuse to spend $400 on a downgraded gaming PC that can't be upgraded, will forever have a smaller library of games, fewer exclusives, less versatile controls, and arbitrary online fees. It's not like Destiny even has dedicated servers, because it doesn't. To make matters worse, many console exclusives can just be emulated on PC anyway, and you can use whatever controller you want. And my PS3 headset is also compatible... I like Destiny and all, but 1 game is not enough to convince me to buy a console. I bought a 3DS because it has a -blam!-ton of exclusives I wanted, and no online fees. Smash Bros in particular has been the shit. Same for the PS3, lots of great exclusives and no online fees. Also, Ad-Hoc Party!

Sorry guys but its time to leave old gen behind, its had a good 10 years but like all old consoles they die out in time and its happening. The xbox 1 and ps4 have been out for 3 years now and your telling me you couldnt even put a £5 away each week and i know people have wife, kids and bills and what not. but seriously in 3 years and you still cant afford one, imo cant really complain cause everyone knew it was going to happen and if you didnt then clearly been lying to yourself.

I didn't save up for a ps4 at all just walked into Best Buy 3 years ago dropped about $700 and left (that's console controllers and games before any of you decide to troll) yes I have bill yes I paid them in advance and no I wasn't broke afterwards still had around $1100 in cash in my pocket when I left. Why? They will be dropped for destiny 2. They are not going to reprogram anything now to make the best use of new gen. It doesn't matter anymore for destiny 1.

Making Destiny year 1 a cross generation game makes perfect sense from a business point of view, and since year 2 is nothing but DLC it makes sense to keep all that cross generation too. 2. Wait! You are telling me a game look sbetter on more powerful hardware? That is shocking. Somebody call Fox News. 3. The game will play exactly the same. Other than frame rate/latency the extra power of current gen will not change the game-play at all.
