So by now you should all know your targets right? Minions of the darkness, see 'em, shoot 'em. For most of you who know a little more about the enemy, than most of you might know the different stories of the fallen, vex, hive, and cabal. Today we're going to talk a bit about the hive as they seem to be the prevailing darkness. Also, about how this battle between the dark and the light will never end. Both sides will come close to killing each other, but they will never fully extinguish each other. Why do I say this? Well we know we were pushed close to extinction back when the darkness attacked us and knocked out out golden age. Something of a similar magnitude may have happened to the hive. In the book of sorrows we see that the hive were crowded together on the Fundament and suffered from infighting for a while. That is of course until they found the worm gods. (incarnations of the darkness) Then they got the power to bring their world together (by killing those who didn't want to serve) and then fought back against the light and proceeded to hunt down and destroy each challenge the traveler presented them. They pushed until there was almost nothing left. Sound familiar? We're doing the same thing. We were pushed to the brink of extinction. We suffered from infighting for a while. Then when the guardians understood what they were a little better, they managed to (somewhat) end the infighting. Then you, the special guardian(s) that spoke with the exo stranger. You were able start pushing the darkness back, and now we are mimicking Oryx. we're pushing further out to meet the challenges that the darkness throws at us. How long until we push the darkness back to a single world again? to the brink of extinction? Will this cycle end? the answer is in the book of sorrows and our own story. No, it will not. The dark and light will fight each other til the end of time. Funny thing is, the races that have served as pawns of the light and dark may have changed a thousand times over. In this round it's us VS the hive (maybe vex). last time it was something VS something else. next round could be us VS something else. We're all just pawns of the single largest chest game in the universe. Right now the traveler and the worm gods are the king/queen of the light and dark. As for the identities of the competitors themselves, I wouldn't have the slightest clue. Not to make this fight seem like a fruitless task but, yeah. I don't think the darkness or the light will ever win. The end of each round is marked by one side coming damn close to checkmate. No stalemate, no checkmate, just a rebound.
