Xbox One Grimoire VS. PS4 Issue Creates Reason For Completionists Stop Playing Destiny

Everyone here knows that PS4 users get exclusive content. This post is NOT that. I am going to use the Grimoire entry Vex Ghost Fragment 5 as an example. I am a Completionist. I have a very high gamerscore (well over 100K). I enjoy completing every aspect of a game and like all others like me, I enjoy graphical representations of my progress. What I have found now moves me to stop playing Destiny altogether. I have achieved the gamerscore. My next goal was to achieve max Grimoire. Until I find out that that is impossible. PS4 exclusive content should be exclusive, not hurting the Xbox One users. This is not just promotional but could be viewed as discriminatory. I have no more interest in playing enough Destiny to win 100 rumble matches if at the end, that Grimoire graphical representation will not show 100%. It may sound silly to some, I ask though that hurtful comments not be made. I enjoy the Xbox One, and primarily for its achievements system. Grimoire was an excellent tool to copy that system and create replayability. Kudos on that creation. However, being used like this cheapens my time and investment into the game. When Destiny 2 finally emerges, I wanted to leave 1 with a feeling of completion, just as I would with any other game in a series, but now I can not. To out it simply, achieving Gold is a win. Achieving silver is a loss. Whether by 10 minutes or 10 seconds (or in this case 10 Grimoire entries). Having exclusive content on a specific system should make me want to play on that system, not make me feel like a second class player. Unless this is fixed, I consider this promotion a failure. I may only speak for the 1 percenters who strive for perfection, but do you don't want legends who believe in goals others thing are too big, rename your game and definitely your motto. "Become Legend...if on PS4".

  • Xbox players shouldn't be able to get max Grimoire until the franchise is over.

    • Yea I can see why this is a problem for completionists. PS exclusives already hurt both consoles; PS players have to completely rely on RNG for the exclusive exotics or exclusive strike gear.
