Has DeeJ become a better Community Manager?

He's always been leagues ahead of the rest.

He's certainly improved a ton over his career.

He's gotten worse since the dawn of this game.

He's bad and always will be bad.

I don't always watch the live streams for this game, but I've picked up all three for the April update. In addition, I also watched the Ghosts of Meridian live stream for Halo 5, and saw how their community team handles the previews. Comparing the two to each other and going back to watch the live streams from the House of Wolves DLC, I think DeeJ has actually really found his groove in a community like this. He's comfortable and open with his script, he's pretty chill with the community, and he tries to be funny. All good traits. I'm not ragging on Bravo here, and he's still got time to develop, but DeeJ is certainly a tier or two above him by CM standards. All in all, I think DeeJ is doing a pretty good job, not because he's inherently good, but because he has the agility to learn and adapt.

  • DeeJ has always been a fantastic manager. He's a great writer, good live on camera, and he's funny and personable. People simply project their frustrations with Bungie's decisions onto him, and they don't have the emotional maturity to realize this. I've never seen a community manager do as well as DeeJ. I watched the Division's stream about their upcoming update and by god it was awful. A bunch of mumbling, nervous dudes barely out of their teens. So awkward.
