Posting Pictures in Forum Posts?!?!?
If you were lurking around the Reach Forum recently, you might have seen [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=40432478]this thread[/url] about an adorable character called Oonsk, created from cropping Kat's shoulder armor piece into the figure of a little guy.
More suprising however, Shishka was able to put a picture of Oonsk in his post using [img] tags. Although when he did the picture appeared in all of it's beauty, anyone who quoted him had the image in the post replaced with a "[Image Removed]".
I just have a few questions:
1) How long have you been able to do this?
2) Is it possible that group administrators could be given this power in a website update?
Obviously there would be some problems with such a feature, as people would be able to post pr0n into their group threads, but is that really any different that posting URLs to pr0n?
We were having a discussion about this in that particular thread, but its better suited for this forum so I decided to start it up here.
Your thoughts, B.net?
Update: Yeah. After nearly a year I don't really like this idea anymore, particularly after my group got spammed with naked pictures of Old Men. We do just fine without images cluttering up our forums.

I am glad they are blocked as a few people on this site are about as mature as this pen I am currently holding.

Bnet has a lot more activity, most people over at Bioware are there for story discussion. Folks here, lots of other reasons.

It's true only some staff can use it but I think that's a bit stupid. Many offical forums have the ability to embed pictures (ex. Bioware forums) and nobody posts pr0nz there. Why don't the Bungie forums allow it?

What makes Bungie employees to post pics in their forums are the random threads that goes related to the pic they put. 1 picture says more than a 1000 words!
