Why do people think you guys sound like us Australians? I see some basic ties in our accent but there are major differences.

Certain British accents are very similar to an Australian accent.

Potatoes, potatoes [spoiler]wait. That doesn't work on forums...[/spoiler] If you had a person from England and an Australian in your party you could tell the difference. I can agree that there are some parts of England that have a similar accent. I even get confused sometimes. I'm just sick of getting teased in parties where they are trying to tease me about having a British accent and I just laugh saying its Australian and they refuse to agree and tell me I'm from England. I think I know where I was born.
