Fine tuning my sniper opinion

I posted this some time ago and thought it was a pretty good summary of my opinion on snipers. Agree disagree have at in the comments of like to fine tune them and bouncing ideas off people is usually the best way for me. One of the big themes is I want very limited res sniping if you disagree please address how you would resolve problems like how discouraged low impact snipers are. Looking for some good discussion not just rants. No reserve unless you get a second[/quote] I'll also add that all the old legendary weapons should be brought forward to significantly bolster archetype diversity. I also know I need to consider pve a bit more in some of it so I'll be tweaking some changes to better balance that as well. Most of my stat changes are to curb how easy it is to snipe through suppressive fire. Primaries seem to be affected far more than snipers which is odd when shot. Maybe add a thorn like mechanic where a headshot on a scoped sniper makes the screen red or cracks the scope view until you descope.

  • You obviously don't know how aim assist works. Aim assist only helps within fractions of seconds how Bungie describes. I use the Eirene all the time and don't notice much of a difference. Would also say they should nerf the mobility on snipers considering how many people are running with them. How should I be as fast holding a hand cannon as I am with a Sniper? Also if a weapons is supposed to be tuned for how it fills the gap a long range gun that can kill you in 1 shot shouldn't let you move very fast.
