I'm waiting a few months before I overhaul my PC. Then again, I'm an AMD fan and can't wait much longer. ò_ó

AMD? Oh god I'm sorry.
-
Haters gonna hate. Console users should be excited for AMD's new chipset too :p
-
Except why AMD? Nvidia is top of the line.
-
There is basically perfect parity between ATI GPUs and Nvidia GPUs. A Fury X is just as fast as a 980ti at 1080p; and at resolutions higher than 1920x1080 the Fury X starts to take point due to the utilization of high bandwidth memory instead of gddr5. Never mind that in all the dx12 benchmarks we've seen thus far the GCN architecture absolutely crushes the Maxwell architecture, i.e a $400 390x performing within 5% of a $1000 Titan X.

Many things in an industry can be 'top of the line' doesn't mean I should pay more for the same performance.
-
Why are you an AMD fan, that's welfare brand computing.
-
Uh huh. Ok.
-
So.....you don't know why you're a fan of AMD?
-
Let's see... You'll probably mention how their CPU's perform worse. And I'll point out the fact that many games do not take advantage of multi-core processors. I'll then point out that future software(DirectX12) will start taking advantage of CPU's with multiple cores and AMD will start to flourish. Not to mention they are releasing their all new chipset this year. And I like AMD in particular because of their innovation in hardware and software development.
May I ask you the same?
Edited by Æsir: 2/28/2016 3:06:36 AMI dislike AMD because they use excessive amounts of power and running very hot comparatively, this reduces life and leads to a tendency to fail.
-
Sure they are power hungry, I'll give you that. Proper cooling will alleviate any heat issues you may have. I'm just excited for the new gear AMD is putting out this year. New chipset, new socket, the whole sha-bang.
-
Yeah it'll be interesting to see what they've come up with.
