Boba has a bit more skill. That's rather obvious.
He fought Vader multiple times and never got killed-(Keep in mind Vader killed a great number of Jedi, and trained with Sidious.), survived the Sarlacc 3 times, and has collected much more notorious bounties on people such as Han Solo.
He's also surprisingly skilled with a lightsaber.
While Jango was bested by Mace Windu.
Though Jango has bested Dooku's apprentice, and his rival Mandrogoro.[spoiler]I think I butchered his name. But he was a Mandalorian as well.[/spoiler]

EU isn't cannon by Disney's rules, though they have the ability to pick and choose what they want from EU to add in their current cannon. To my knowledge they never specified the terms of The Fetts in all that. Unless Disney outright states none if it happened, it's still fair game. Though you do have a point. It's still a shame the Fetts got barely any screen time.[spoiler]To quickly show my point off, as my notifications are broken and I'm not in the mood to argue, it looks like Luke is standing over a grave in TFW movie. Likely his Wife's. So it's possible it's Mara Jade. If so it shows that they're picking what they want from it. If not my entire argument is pointless and a waste of time. [/spoiler]
