Transparency. We need more of it.

Bungie needs to figure itself out. With recent issues bringing this to life, i feel it needs to be said again and again; TRANSPARENCY IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN DEVELOPMENT THESE DAYS. Ill keep it short, since apparently ranting about things in the game is frowned on by the developers, as mentioned multiple times previously. Destiny is a good game. we enjoy it. if it wasn't good, we wouldn't be a community, and we wouldn't be frustrated about it. But at this point it seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot. With the recent issue of Skill-based matchmaking ruining the crucible (Destiny's most viable source of players, since PvE is as dry as the salt of its players at this point) showing that Bungie has the capability to outright lie about things to us, and then patronize us about it, it is extremely clear that they need to ball up and be more transparent with what they are doing before or while they are doing it. short example/rant below the cut;
Bungie used to be able to get away with secrecy and tidbits and mystery and all that fun stuff, but at this point they have too much of a reputation to continue this trend. They are on a new model of gaming, where updates are necessary to the community, where public outcry is easier to respond to. They need to figure out where they want to stand, because they have lost a lot of trust. Look at any other GOOD game that uses updates and such to its advantage, like.... Warframe, where things are consistently updated, or patched, or added, and the community is almost always in the loop. Story wise, secrets are fine, secret events we shouldn't know about, are cool. But when it comes to patching or downgrading in any fashion, we need to know as soon as someone asks.
"Did you change PvP matchmaking?" "We are trying skill based matchmaking a lil bit." "Okay cool, we've tried it, we dislike it." "Oh well slap my cheeks and call me joesepie we should fix it now then." Is as simple as it should be. I understand that certain things are difficult but is it really so hard? They keep promising us something better, "But look at their actions, not their words." - Cayde-6.
