It's a solid point, but unlike the shoulder charge the shotgun can be fired from 80/90 degrees above the target. While the charge would miss, or knee right above the guardian, leaving you open. SC are easy to stop, and need to be fixed not nerfed. I've been killed by a lot "bs" when I've charged.
