A rumor is floating around that Bungie "soft patched" it to where you are matched up with players of the same "True Skill Level". I was under the impression that destinytracker and the other sites were 3rd party sites and were not connected to the Bungie servers. Did this change? If so, I think it's great. It would add (sort of) some "competition" in a non competitive game. "Sweats" every game I guess you can say. Is this true or just a coincidence that I am running into challenging teams? Please confirm :)

  • If by challenging you mean every player in my lobbies lives 10,000 miles away then yeah, it's "challenging". They don't even seem to use region as a parameter as every player is either from south america or europe and I am in north america.

  • I've been wondering that too.

Yep, I've heard the same thing. It makes sense that every match I play is a sweaty.

The only aspect that could deny this theory is that weaker players are staying away from the regular Crucible and play Sparrow races. However, if even the daily Crucible mission takes up to three minutes to match make, I truly doubt that. There was definitely something changed, resulting in longer matchmaking in order to find more or less equally skilled people before the start of each match [and latency issues for being in games with people all over the world].

  • You are not matched against the same skill level on purpose it is just convenience cause I always get matched against people that are better than me :p
