Let me know what you all think and I'll edit in my answer later.

It's pretty important to me I just need oryx challenge 28 more doubles wins and the final ghost and I will be max. I feel grimoire score depicts experience and skill you've done the raids numerous amount of times, you've been flawless so you know what your doing and can help others.
-
It's cool for reading up on some lore n shtuff
-
All "max" grimoire means is that you spent hours farming certain enemies. I dont really care how high grimoire is, i let the gameplay do the talking.
-
Not at all Couldn't possibily give a fcuk less what my grimore score is The 900pts it's lacking is all shit i cant be bothered with Ghosts Rumble Vip kills in patrol Public events Salvage Doubles Elimination Trials Hand cannon kills Rift Inferno playlists Yup Not wasting my time on any of that shit lol
-
Not very, haven't looked at mine or others in several months. Only think about it when its brought up on the forums.
-
It's important to me
-
it just indicates that whoever has 4700+ ish now is most likely a day1 player which just proves that high grimoire might have more exp and knowledge about the game
-
people with 4.8k Grimoire are not necessarily better than someone with only 4k or even 3k, but too low of a Grimoire could get you rejected from a team since if you have only 2.5k grimoire and are 300 you are much less experienced than someone at 4k grimoire and 290
-
It's meh to me. I'm super lazy and never tried looking for ghosts or doing quests. So it's for those experienced dedicated players! You go, dedicated players! Rock on! :D
-
Grimoire can mean that you just went ghost hunting but I like having a high grimoire cause I like the backstory and what Destiny COULD'VE been with all that awesome lore.
-
Smh. I went flawless at 2700 grimoire and carried my team, it's simply just a number but sometimes it does show experience.
-
Grimoire means nothing, however medal score means everything if you are talking pvp. Anyone with over 2 million medal score more or likely is a very skilled pvp player
-
Everything
-
It's life

At first I thought that it meant skill. Then I got my ass kicked by a 1000 grimoire player. Then I realized that it means experience which in PvE could mean skill. Seriously, raids from LFG with 2500 grimoire players is hard
-
What even is grimoire XD

it's not even about playing time because it would only take a few weeks of hardcore grinding to get the max grimoire. I feel like it is a way to show variety and it shows that the player has more dedication to the game than others. that's just me though, and I'm a little biased because I'm at 4875. it shows little in skill. if I played less and I had 2000 grimoire less, it wouldn't change my skill level lol. I haven't bought a new game since destiny's release, so I figured why not actually be a completionist and go for max grimoire, all 9 exotic factions class items, we ran out of medals medal, etc...
-
I just use it to see how knew a person is sometimes. Like if see some in the tower at a low level, I check their gimmore to see if they are a newbie or just a new character made. I'm surprised when I see a level 5 in the tower so xD
-
Just shows how experienced they are. You could suck and Still have high grimoire
-
I just don't care
-
Never bothered to look.
-
I know my grimoire isn't the highest, but it is definitely higher than my skill level compared to others
-
Haven't cared since HoW
-
Or we are just perfectionists... Current Grimoire: 4825
-
Doesn't mean much right now. I've deliberately left some of the missions and raids incomplete. Figured it would keep the game feeling fresher longer. I was right. ;))
