Weekly What's Update
Ooof! So we gave out the Autoupdate, and we tried to be as clear as possible, but of course misconceptions persist and folks are angry about all sorts of stuff, some legitimate, some mental. Today, we're addressing most of them.

im tired of all the name-calling and racism on xbox live. Can u like make sumthin to mute tha other players after the game. Like say the other team will beat us by like 1 point, at the end of the game they will say like u suck or make fun. I hate people that do that it screws up the game for all of us. I think ppl who do that have no class and should banned or given a warning to straighten up Thanx

TopOTK i use cable broadband and its like 2MB up and down and i never had problems but then halo started getting laggy but now its alright i was once on 4mb speeds and it still lagged sum times which is total fooking bull-blam!- :o)

Is there ever going to be 10 or 12 person playlists, I love the new maps but some of them could use 5 or 6 man teams instead of 4.

Here's a very pertinent question that I'm sure you may want to address, even though it won't get answered in time to help me. I've got a Halo 2 LAN party going on this Friday night, but here's the deal - some of the boxes we'll be using will have the latest hacking Autoupdate, and some will not. The place we'll be hosting this thang doesn't have high speed internet, so going online to get the update isn't an option either. Will this discrepancy cause any connection issues, or is this AU negligable in terms of compatibility since it doesn't affect the actual game itself? Weekly Update is Friday day, the party is Friday night. I'm out of luck on getting an answer on time, but maybe this post will serve the greater good, or some noble crap like that.

This may seem as a stupid question because it has nothing to do with the new AU, this has to do with the three novels that have been writen, I wondered if there is more books on the way? I enjoyed reading The Master Chief's History, on to another question in the begining of Halo 2 Srg. Johnson comes to collect the Chief. Barns ask Johnson how he got of the ring, my question is: Did you expect all game players to have read the books (where the answer to Barns is plainly writtin) Thanks

Does it ever tick you off when people post things like "Oh yeah, I got the first post!" or "1st Post". Who cares? Does anyone at bungie enjoy glitching, superjumping, guardian glitching, ect? What would M.C look like after being banned? What would the Master Chief look like as a modder?

hey everybody, i am trying to get into matchmaking and it says "we've failed to update configeration files. please sign out and sign back in to fix this problem" but when i do sign back in it says the same thing. have i been banned or something? please reply

I was wondering if you guys could ban kannibal4 he used standby in a rumble pit game on us and still lost at the beggining of the game it was at a blue screen then when it was over everyone was still there and he had 5 kills already while others had 0 then i won and he accused me of cheating.

Hey Bungie are you guys abunch of idiots and just pretending to be intelligent? Why don't you just delete the modders from the leaderboards manually? Screw all the technology and use common sense. I have a question about lag....I was on a cable service that provided 1.5 - 2.5 mbs down and 1 mbs up. Didn't have any problems with it, but did notice some lags at times. At the beginning of this year I upgraded to a Fiber Optic Connection that was offered and I now connect at 30 mbs down and 5 mbs up. Blazing Fast....I can download files at 1MB per second. I have notice many times since then, where 1 character will lag throughout a game. I thought the faster connection might rid me of lagging issues. It seems to have help quite a bit....but its a pain when I see the same player several times, approach, I die and then they appear 10 steps past me.....all within a fraction of a second. modders are almost totaly gone but the other day sum 1 used a mod chip on warlock so they aint totaly gone yet i think bungie should ban there IP addresses so they cant get back on xbox live
