Halo ODST sucks!
Just bought my pre-ordered copy of ODST tonight. Picked it up at 12:22 am and quickly drove it home to play. Already had friends lined up to do 4 player co-op. $60.00 for 3 new multiplayer maps that will be free in another 2 months, and a 5 hour campaign... That doesn't sound good I thought, but then this is Halo and we have all of the previous titles and loved each one. That list includes Halo Wars... Therefore I thought that this one has to be good. Long story short, the 4 of us all agreed that this is a terrible game which is chock full of shortcuts and unpolished hogwash. I plan to take my copy back to the store when it opens for my money back! Bungie - This is not worth $60.00 - not even close. This is a crappy game and that is coming from a Halo-fanboy. You guys lost a customer tonight. I won't buy another one of your titles. I am extremely disappointed by this game.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't feel too drawn in to the game/storyline, but overall, I think its fantastic. I've had it since friday (legit copy. Got it early due to the postal strike) and played it through more than once. The game has great gameplay too, while it plays similar to other Halo titles, its got a very different feel to it. You don't feel like a completely overpowered super machine, you feel like an average soldier. The game is full of variety in everything it does. VISR is a great addition too. Overall, I think the game was good. I wasn't getting over excited as most people were, but I knew it would still be a good game. Firefight is another great addition, since its not your usual co-op mode where you die and let your buddy help you respawn. Firefight is actually pretty difficult and a lot of fun too. The variety in the different Firefight maps is excellent too. Having night and day variations is great. You have to appreciate the small changes too, since they usually make the biggest impact. Overall, it is a good game. However, like Halo 3, some people expected a little too much and got a little too excited and disappointed themselves. Don't criticise Bungie's work, because you couldn't do better yourself. [Edited on 09.22.2009 3:55 AM PDT]

well dood, ive had games at first im like "wth is this" then put it down for months come back to it and find out this was amazing!! dont return it yet give a chance i mean afterall its the first day it came out, try firefight :D

I love ODST! Me and my friend went down to get it together and started the campaign on legendary as soon as we got home, we both loved it, and then we played firefight for a while, and we both agree that this game is FREAKIN AWESOME!

Leave these kids alone, they obviously are either too dumb to use proper grammar or don't care. Yes, I understand you think this game is a ripoff, but you look foolish to the people that do have intelligence. You are obviously a guy/girl that is always afraid to admit being wrong, so you continue to repeat the same argument hoping that your (yes, this is the proper use) opposition will give up. I never post in this forum, but I feel the need to. You should show some maturity and move along.

Dude, wahhh! Its [b][i]SUPPOST[/i][/b]to be an open environment. Have you EVEN played firefight yet??? And the campaign is not 5 hours long unless your on easy maybe! Play legendary. You should REALLY try it. It's epic and you even EARN ACHIEVEMNETS! If its so horrible then why are you telling US about it!?!

Tell me, did your parents ever tea h you to appreciate things? I don't have the game yet, and I'm lookinf gorward to playing it today. From other people, I think this game is going to be great. You have to look at the time and effort Bungie put into this title, not just bit*h about it on here. And if you haven't realized yet, you're losing about 100,000 to one. So please, take your time with the game and enjoy what Bungie put together for their fans.

Hey -- I understand you didn't enjoy the game/think you should get your money back and or will etc. but that's your opinion which you are entitled to. Saying that you're just trying to prevent us from wasting our money is also your opinion as well but it starts to cross the border where you should keep your opinions to yourself.
