Halo ODST sucks!
Just bought my pre-ordered copy of ODST tonight. Picked it up at 12:22 am and quickly drove it home to play. Already had friends lined up to do 4 player co-op. $60.00 for 3 new multiplayer maps that will be free in another 2 months, and a 5 hour campaign... That doesn't sound good I thought, but then this is Halo and we have all of the previous titles and loved each one. That list includes Halo Wars... Therefore I thought that this one has to be good. Long story short, the 4 of us all agreed that this is a terrible game which is chock full of shortcuts and unpolished hogwash. I plan to take my copy back to the store when it opens for my money back! Bungie - This is not worth $60.00 - not even close. This is a crappy game and that is coming from a Halo-fanboy. You guys lost a customer tonight. I won't buy another one of your titles. I am extremely disappointed by this game.

Whoa... This thread is old, but still active. I'm impressed by that, but not the topic and discussion. Kinda rude if you ask me. Maybe it's one of the lesser-epic games, but it doesn't straight up suck.

I'm a fan of ODST as well. Playing Firefight alone is a serious challenge too. I feel like everytime I do it and play the campaign again, parts I thought were hard were now easy since I'm not dealing with an onslaught of pissed of brutes compared to firefight. Also there is one thing I felt they should have done regarding the Huragok. Since they are a race of engineers created by forerunners and there are books out there that tell their capabilities of fixing anything, it would have been great to see them trying to fix blown up vehicles around the city rather than just having them as dedicate suicide bombers with overshields protecting garrisons of covenant. I always had the impression that these things would die to get their hands on anything broken to repair it and improve it as if it were an obsessive compuslive disorder. Rather than killing the whole platoon only to see them "all" blow up, how about some of them follow you around protecting you as a gesture for liberation as well? [Edited on 09.02.2011 8:48 AM PDT]

i've heard from alot of people that ODST sucked but seriously ODST was -blam!- amazing the story line was perfect and firefight would be fun to me but none of my XBL friends got it which really irritated me the 3 multiplayer maps were also perfect for me because i didn't own halo 3 yet (don't get me wrong i've played Halo:ce to the current halo but never on my own owned Xbox and then when i heard about odst i had just recently bought one so i thought it was the perfect time to get it)also i actually like the ODST more than chief....but that's just my opinion

dude. chill. this to me is a great game and i got it for like 16 bucks. i didnt buy brand new i bought pre-owned. and i still love it. i just think that you need to relax because this is by far one of my top 3 favorite halo games. it comes wiht firefight which was so good call of duty ripped it off and made crappy zombies. now with the campaign i think the odst's were over powered. they had a visor master chief would of owned with and the odst;s also had a few weapon master chief never got an hold of. like the deployed gauss turret the silenced smg and the shield the huragok gave them (i know that aint a weapon but it was used) not to mention the halo 1 pistol. and with the multiplayer in fire fight everyone could have their own speciality. like most of the time i snipe and drive the warthog while my friend uses the rocket launcher and focuses on vehicles and the other two people focus on just taking out hunters or any other annoying covie that drops in. (to be honest i miss the split jaws. i loveds taking down their shields and getting an easy energy sword) so thats all i have to say. go out and enjoy dropping in and killing those dman covies.

Hey guys, I have a question. I plaayed the campaigne on legendary to mission 7. I have all the archievments unlockt. But, the mission 8 is not available, but all other missions 2 - 7 are in my visr it looks i´ve had they never done. please hlep me
