I have been a Destiny player since the Beta and couldn’t wait to buy the game. This has been my main game since launch and couldn’t have been happier for it. However I feel (IMO) that this game has lost its specialty with TTK and here is why: (Again IMO) RNG has always been a thing in this game, love it or hate it. However when you got your RAID gear, IB gear, Trails Gear, PoE Gear it was to its highest light level and meant you complete it. In TTK it is completely on RNG, completing any activity doesn’t give you a symbol of accomplishment, it now turn’s into the biggest grind that is not worth it due to the next DLC it will be worthless. Spend 4 weeks getting all the raid gear at 304 and spend another 4 to get to 309. Hard mode comes out, spend 4 weeks getting to 315 spend another 4 more to get to 319. IB gear drops at 280 what the hell is that, not even worth the time doing. Do it anyways and don’t even get one drop. Trails is the same as the raid. The RNG is designed since the TTK to keep people away from the 320 light levels in order for the grind to last till the next DLC. Timed Exotic drops and mission quests are all designed the same way. Glimmer, Faction Exp, Motes, Coins and so much more is design for the grind rather than the player experience in having fun. I wish for year one Destiny, year two really burns me out.
