There are a few things.
1: go through all the network advice bungie has
Open ports
Open nat type
Hard wire vs wifi
Reset router
Reset modem
Hard reset console
Clear system cache
Uninstall the previous update and reinstall it.
I had the same thing happen to me when the dark below launched. Frustrating as hell cause it would happen about every ten minutes. I did all these steps and something finally worked. Lol. Good luck.

The thing is, is that destiny doesn't work well on one console but works amazing on another console with both them having the same hook ups

So try a: clearing the system cache B: uninstalling the previous update and re installing it. C: (and this is a long shot) delete your profile and re download your profile. The reason it will work well on one console and not another is somewhere somehow information was corrupted. It happens all the time.
