I know many people were not fans of PoE, but i thought it was a good idea that, with a bit more tuning up, could become something that could be very enjoyable. Bungie did say that this was going to be left in the dust of TTK for "nostalgia" but maybe if enough people really wanted this, they would reconsider. I say they could refresh the whole experience with new gear, weapons, bosses, challenges, and maybe even bounties... I just feel bad for poor Variks, he doesn't get any love anymore. :( Leave any other ideas on how PoE could be brought back , or why you think it shouldn't be brought back at all, in the comments section, i'm open to anything, and i'll try to give you my opinion. :) I'd also like to keep this a sodium chloride (Salt) - free environment for all of us, thank you very much. [u][i]Ideas to make PoE better.[/i][/u] [b]bold[/b] ideas are the most common and important. - [b]Better, new, higher level loot (Level of loot depends on level of round)[/b] -Matchmaking (Paint My Bagel) -[b]PoE bounties offered by Variks for House of Judgement reputation, and other rewards (Veritas724)[/b] -Checkpoints in between rounds (MisterEMan) - Unique Boss specific loot (Me) - [b][u]MORE[/u] better, smarter, less bullet-spongey bosses with more complex mechanics[/b] -A new use for etheric light, possibly an infusion material that grants a random element? (Brownc04t) -More exotic quests that involve using other fallen/enemy weapons, like the tracking rifle. - [b]New challenges, other than mines and important targets. (B1g_Baba)[/b] -Boons like Trials of Osiris, that could provide things like boosts to stats on rounds, like the old year one armor, or boons that make dismantling mines faster or other challenges easier. (Scornful Orchid) -Customizable rounds, where you can modify the races or modifiers. The loot table would have to be considered with this, so its still harder to get better loot (SergioTheSlayer) -[u][b]Endless taken mode.[/u] the taken are invading the Prison of Elders, and you have to hold them off as long as you can. Bosses come around every 5 rounds or so, and drop loot based on that level you are at. I like to read all of your ideas! Thank you! Edit 5: Many people have said to me that taken rounds wouldn't make sense. So instead, what about a round where the taken invade the Prison of Elders, and you have to defend it by killing a taken boss with taken enemies around it? This could also be incorporated into an endless mode, where taken are invading the Prison and you have to fight them off, with a boss appearing every now and then and dropping loot in which the level depends on how far you've gone. Let me know what you think about this in the comments. Edit 6: I just had a cool idea for some of the weapons that could drop in PoE. Because I know Bungie likes to put nostalgic, year 1 weapons into year two, (black spindle, no time to explain, etc.) What if some of the gear that was dropped in Prison of Elders was actually gear that was salvaged from the remains of the awoken fleet that was destroyed by the Dreadnaught. Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be cool to wear some of the original queen's guard armor that was now infected with splatters of taken energy, or a Her Benevolence that had glowing Hive chitin stuck to it. The weapons actual stats and perks would need to be revisited, (because the old PoE weapons were terrible, for the most part) but that was just an idea I had.
