Eris Morn, Agent of Savathur

Alright, Guardians: Put on your spinfoil hats for this one, and pay attention. First off, to understand a great majority of what i'm about to release, i will highly suggest looking through your books of sorry in your Grimoire, or archived elsewhere in the vast interwebs. read as many as you can, in order. (I have collected the 47 thus far) They contain very interesting information about the history, legends, powers, and goings-on of the hive species. I will not detail the above for you, as to avoid bias. Done? awesome, thanks for sticking it this far, babe. Go ahead and release the Leviathan below.
Okay, pretty cool backstory right? Kinda feel for the hive a bit. I'll touch on the relationship of Oryx, and his two siblings. This murderous trio, almost comically, likes to kill each other for sport, and out of love. Their god welcomes it, as do they. Oryx is the master of knowledge, Savathun: treachery, and Xivu: war. Nothing all that special.. Until we remember the clutch moment during the declining power of the hive where the siblings, specifically Xivu, gave their deaths to Oryx so he could achieve power to overcome their worms. But not before we could assume Savathur was to try to take the power by tricking Oryx, who quickly slew her before she could move. From then on, you can almost sense a feud specifically between these two. And it seemed to disapate towards the end of the books of sorrow. And it is here that Savathun suggested parting ways after many millenia together. Odd, no? And thus far we have heard not of Xivu, or Savathun.
B-e-a-utiful. Now that you're caught up with the focus, here's where my crackpot theory comes in. If you remember the cut-scene at the end of the regicide mission, Eris Morn appears holding the heart of Oryx's blade, the willbreaker (which is now presumably in our possession). While holding this she states "You were right, my Queen-- The guardian was the key-- I will not fail" Who is this queen she is referring to? Isn't her job complete? I believe that some time after Savathun split the trio, being the master of treachery, placed her agents in Crota and Oryx's presence, disguised. HER army has this ability, as detailed in the gift mast story. After descending to the pit, Eris was possessed by one of these agents of Savathun. To add credence to my theory, Eris has strange hive-like abilities. She says she has been steeped in darkness. It's all a rouse. Only the hive are able to wield such powers, as contracted by the worms in them. If they ignore the power, and do not feed it, they are consumed. Eris, as an agent of savathun, needs not kill to feed her worm, only perform treachery and deceit... Which through the joint operation of "helping" the guardian to destroy Oryx, which Savathun could not do outright, she is able to feed. So what's next? The very notion that Oryx has siblings who are bent on destroying all civilized life is claim enough to assume that more hive await in our future. However, Savathun, the treacherous one seems to be the next big baddie lying in wait for the taken king to dissipate. What do you guys think?? Cheers! stay frosty, guardians

 • Eris is talking to the Queen. She has come to terms with the fact she will not see the end, and just wants to finish her battle (against the Hive). Eris made plans with the Queen and Osiris to use the patterns to end Oryx.
