It seems as though Bungie's primary concerns are short term gains and not future proofing their content, as with almost all AAA titles. It's a shitty tactic but they get lots of money from it so they don't really care what happens after they get your money for their next product. They don't care about TDB or HoW or any of the stuff before TTK really, because they know there's no more money to be made there,it really sucks how indie secs are the ones who you can depend on for the long run, and not people you invested your money into for years.
