1 ReplyThis way is trash. I really like the two titan and malice strategy. First we assign which bombs you are going to blow up EVERY time. Then we assign platform guys 1 2 and 3. So whoever is 1 is always going to be at first platform 2 on 2nd. So those three switch platforms depending on where oryx is. Then two titans on top deathsinger platforms closest to oryx. Pop a weapons and blessing of light and use a malice to melt ogres. Kill your knights 1 and 2 platform can kill there own knights and once he gets relic everyone jump on deathsinger platforms to take out the 3rd and 4th knight. Wait for relic runner to get set up in middle. Shoot oryx and repeat. It's really easy also helps when relic runner uses the solar exotic sword so he can solo vessel 10 times easier then grabbing bombs in middle of adds and knights running up on you.

7 RepliesI've beaten it with the regular strat twice, and the no knight strat once. I personally like doing normal. Two Hunters with tether. Two Titans, one with blessing, one with weapons. Two selfres warlocks. One Hunter tethers all adds at the start of the round in the middle to create orbs for the rest of the team. The Titans throw their bubbles down before Oryx slams his fist to start the sequence. The two floaters help with Ogres. Then one Hunter tethers front side adds and another tethers backside adds once they're in the center to make killing remaining Knights and the vessel a breeze. Just cycling supers the entire time. This was by far the easiest method in my opinion.

5 RepliesOgres are a big problem with this strat. Almost have to get lucky it seems. You pretty much have no cover from the Ogre opposite of you.

5 RepliesThis strat my be slightly easier but it also has much more risk. First, the totem folks. If the ogre from across focus on you your done. Unless you got a bubble or maybe to a lesser degree smoke. Second, jumping up to the sisters area while less dangerous still if those ogres focus on you and there lower light. Done. The runner. My god. Between oryx and the ogres they have to be on point. Plus when they jump down. They got MADD shit to avoid and deal with. Lastly, the bomb folks. When they go to get their bombs adds and knights are everywhere. Lots of opportunity to be killed. Now, again. I think as of now being lower light it's slightly easier but it also carries with it more chance of death.

Best team consist of one Titan for ward of dawn, 3 nights talkers for orbs, 2 warlocks to detonate bombs ( one either side ) if they don't make it back they can self Rez

Cleared hard in 48 minutes, aiming for a sub 40 run when we adjust team to 3 hunters and 3 Titans. Unsure what the HM speed record currently is. We wiped at Warpriest once and had a couple of sporadic deaths.

To make it worse it is preventing me from being able to get into a group to do Oryx to finish the raid in hopes of getting that last piece of gear that will push me to at least 310. In no way did Bungie help more casual players reach the upper levels of the game. Your ability to do end level content is still completely controlled by the RNG gods.

1 ReplyI've beaten him both weeks with my hunter and we did not use this strat, we used weapons and blessing bubbles in the middle bottom. Everyone used touch of malice the entire fight and melted away all ogres and Knights. When we went to the teleport phase (shade) we used snipers and heavy machine guns. I found that I only used my heavy then. It's far less to have to teach since prior to the 2 manning of oryx it was far less common to jump to the deathsingers platforms and hide from enemies. It's not difficult at all, in fact it gets easier and easier as your light level increases My first run included three 309's, two 310's and one 312. All grossly under leveled yet we implemented this and completed it in under two hours. Second run had three at 310 two at 311 and one at 314. You don't have to avoid the Knights. We routinely killed all 4 of them.

6 RepliesSo, when my team tried this strategy, the LE Knights would devour at least one bomb. We ran it exactly like you did, but couldn't keep the Knights from killing our DPS.

Didn't have the time to commit to a full raid last week but this week didn't my first full hard mode in about 1 hour 25 minutes. Just need a team that can multitask and communicate flawlessly. Didn't get much but do have a 316 1000 Yard Stare and 320 gauntlets.
