Bungie trying to push in recon?
It seems like now that many more people have recon and it is becoming less special even with halo 3 still out. Bungie seems to be pushing it with the Bungie vs The World Day and the Microsoft Challenge.
It's almost like they want everyone to have it because when out comes ODST everyone with live will have it and games will be based with strictly recon wearers. I rememeber when recon was hard to get with the screenshots let alone any other way.
Bassically I am saying that Bungie is pretty much just trying to hand out recon at this point and by the time ODST comes out I predict at least half the ammount of recon bearers will be doubled and when ODST comes out I would say in weeks the Recon population will double.
How special is Recon if everyone has it?

That's not even one-onehundredth of the number of people that play Matchmaking in a month. Just because we gave a lot of Recon out a couple weeks ago and everyone's still talking about it doesn't mean that one out of every three people in the world have the armor.

I wouldn't be suprised if Bungie 'pushed' in all this Recon armor until practically everyone has it, and then they release the "new Recon", a new armor that will be exclusive to bungie, but earnable as Recon was. I bet that is what will happen.

To me recon is not special anymore. Because almost everyone has it!

Considering 3/4 of the Halo population is little kids who couldn't do Legendary if there life depended on it, I don't think it shall be a problem. If those are the real Vidmasters, anyway. (I shall haz)

Some of you guys worry to much about an amour variant in a video game. Stop worrying. It's not like the game play changes. Who cares what people wear?

It was exciting because it was a cool new armor that only a few people had now tons of people have it!

i know people who have recon and wear it but don't actually like it. they only wear it to show that they did something special. when odst comes out i don't think many will wear recon since its lost its meaning

I agree with you. It will be like the Hayabusa armor. I remember when my cousin and I got that armor when hardly anyone else had it. It was something special. But like anything else in life, if other people have the same thing you do, it's not as special anymore.

A good size percentage of people cant even get through Legendary Solo without any help... So, people like myself and other campaign/Halo freaks will be worthy enough to get all the Vidmasters... It will still carry some value, but I feel this whole Recon plague has carried on long enough.. People getting harassed, hacked, badgered or just plain popular because they obtained Recon needs to stop. So like the ninja said, I cant wait for it to be accessible, than the Halo community can finally move on and play the game like business as usual! -Scuba

If it comes out to everyone, it comes out to everyone. I honestly do not mind if people have it. Also why does it have to be special? It doesn't change the gameplay of Halo 3 or anything just put on what you want to put on.
