Bungie trying to push in recon?
It seems like now that many more people have recon and it is becoming less special even with halo 3 still out. Bungie seems to be pushing it with the Bungie vs The World Day and the Microsoft Challenge.
It's almost like they want everyone to have it because when out comes ODST everyone with live will have it and games will be based with strictly recon wearers. I rememeber when recon was hard to get with the screenshots let alone any other way.
Bassically I am saying that Bungie is pretty much just trying to hand out recon at this point and by the time ODST comes out I predict at least half the ammount of recon bearers will be doubled and when ODST comes out I would say in weeks the Recon population will double.
How special is Recon if everyone has it?

I feel sort of the same way, but not really. it may have felt like the whole world got Recon on Bungie Day but really it was only a tiny fraction of the whole Halo world. Recon may be a little more popular now but I think Bungie is trying to keep it rare and meaningful like it always has been

A few of the "suspected" achievement for the ODST vidmasters include stuff along the lines of: Complete a mission on legendary without shooting a bullet or throwing a grenade. Imagine the irony of accidentally pulling your trigger right at the end... My point is, is that it will be sort of difficult to get all the vidmasters. P.S. Another vidmaster is something ALONG THE LINES of: Get to set 4 of Firefight on legendary with 4 player LIVE.

i think that recon is some really nice armor, but then again if everyone has it, it wont be as awesome as it use to be..... But thats just my look on it.

Point well made. I don't think people will even post things saying they have it when ODST comes out because they [i]should[/i] have the sense to realise they're one among many with it. Although, thinking about it, The first person to get Recon via the vidmasters will post something... And I hope he does, because he'll probably get his Recon banned for doing it, queue flaming and serious lol'ing.
