Ever been stung . . .

. . . by a hornet inside your own home? Man, it sucks ass. Well, I just moved in to my house yesterday (got DSL today) and was unpacking. Well, night had approached sooner than I thought so I began to put my bedframe and such together. I turn my matress over and laid it on my boxsprings only to be stung, not once, not twice, but three times by a hornet on the middle finger of my left hand. I'm not quite sure how that damn thing got in my room, but it hurt like a -blam!-. My middle finger swole up about three times larger than the middle finger on my right hand. Luckily the swelling was gone by morning but it really hurt, man. I'm not one to whine often, but that was the first time in my life I had ever been stung by anything. Of all the times I've been around bees and hornets and not been stung, I go into my own home only to be stung by something totally unexpected. It is interesting none-the-less yet still oh so painful.

 •
Posted by: Kreblon My friend got stung by a mosquito on his p3nis when he was little. Yes, on his p3nis. He learned the hard way why you shouldn't run around naked. Edit: -blam!- the filter! I hate using 3's as e's.
Whats the big deal? It's just a tiny sting and some mild itching.

 • I was bitten on the shoulder by a brown recluse spider (also known as a fiddleback). It almost killed me, if I weren't as big as I am (6'6" 270lbs) it would have.

 • Damn mosquitoes, I'm trying to start a campaign to kill all mosquitoes in my area, but to no avail. You kill 1, 10 more take its place. Other than mosquitoes, I've never been stung.

 • I was scuba diving off the coast of Jamaica when i foolishly let myself drift towards the ocean floor. Beneath me sticking up precisely between my legs was a piece of coral. Not ordinary coral, but fire coral, the type made from poisonous sea creatures. The type that delivers an incredibly painful burn when touched by bare skin, the type I sat on. I couldn't sit down for two days... [Edited on 6/16/2005]

 • I was stung on my knee by a yellow jacket once. I was really young. But, surprisingly, didn't really cry much.

 • LOL Top this...My grandma was stung in the toungue...YES I SAID IT... IN THE TOUNGUE I remember That when we decided to remodel our house, we (My parents and i) tried to fix our pattio, and tried to do it ourselves. so I was messing around in a big pile of sand, when I saw this rather large Millipede(sp?). I played with it and kept messing with it for about an hour. Then, when we finish, I go inside, and I wash my hands. I suddenly noticed that all my fingertips were now a dark pinkish color...Kinda weird aint it?

 • My strangest sting was from a North American Puss moth caterpillar. I was working at a nature reserve picking potato vines when I received a little zap on my arm. I instantly had a rash at the area and within a hour my entire right torso was numb. A little pink caterpillar almost kicked my butt.

 • I was at london zoo- walked up to the penguin enclosure and I remember the smell of fish and penguin pee-pee, then I feel a pain in my ear and end up pulling a wasp out of it. Not very fun. --Thats really the only thing I remember about london zoo, and it always springs to mind when someone mentions being stung.

 • If you have never been stung, I would think it would be a scary event. Because you have no idea if you are fatally allergic, or not. If you have been stung, then you know you aren't fatally allergic, and next time you are stung it's just annoying, not scary.

 • I was once stung by a wasp inside the walk-in cooler at the restaurant I used to work at. I got all funny and jittery feeling. Then I found out my grandparents had died in a car accident. Stinging is a bad omen for me.....
