Backwash Revealed
"Hunt", "Humid" and "Spooky" are just a few words used to describe Backwash, one of the new maps coming soon for Halo 2. Grab your mosquito repellent and fog lights as we take a closer look at murky mysteries contained in this swampy battleground.

Thick fog+Invisibility+Sword/Shotgun+Small map= game designed around sword camping. can't wait. :rolls eyes: It looks cool but the gameplay sounds terrible. and no grenades to start off with? great, so now if a guy starts shooting me first i can have no way to fight back and win!

Also i couldnt understand from the article whether you start with a plasma rifle or not. If you do that sux i really like starting with an smg better because it is more fun.

People you need to think about what you are saying. How can you sa this map will suck before you have ever even tried it. I dont know if it will be a good or bad map but I am going to see when I play it not just decide befor I've even tried it. It does look bad for one on one but who knows. Also the sword wont be too powerful because of all the shotguns and the trees that can be used to dodge the sword with. That said I cant wait for all the new maps I think visually Backwash looks insane and to whoever said they think Bungie just threw this map together you are crazy. Making any kind of map takes alot of hardwork. Kudos Bungie!!!

i dont care what you guys say back wash is going to be tight. and i dont think youll be able to sit on the moniter (as soon as he moves you fall off, it's just like trying to jump onto a moving ghost and taking a ride but you cant grab onto this one) and the fog adds a kind of predator feel to it, and i love being the predator. but in one on one games it will suck. one guy will get the sword and hide in a corner waiting for you then kill you quickly then run off and hide behind a tree forever and it will take forever to find him. but it will be one hell of a rumble pit map though, that's going to kick a$$ do much. but ive seen the videos and so far relic and the choo choo train map look the best to me. -o ya PS3 sucks!!! half the things they said at E3 turned out to be lies just go look at every ps3 article (accept E3 and look at the features, half the things they said at E3 instantly disappeared somehow) [Edited on 6/15/2005]

if u r a persn who has a green or steel spartan/elite thats the map for u.I have a sage elite that would go well in Backwash.Personally im waiting for Relic, u know the island, good for sniping and i am a Rock out Loud sniper.I rock

OMFG 88TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway I saw vids af all 5 of the maps and honestly backwash looks like one of the worst. Just wait untill next week with terminal, TERMINAL LOOKS FRIGGIN SWEET. In the vid, the train like pwns everyone.

could've been a good map. addition of the ghost will ruin it. if the fog is as intense as they say then it should prove to be a great map to camp with the sword on [sarcasm] AWESOME! [/sarcasm]

I agree 100 percent. I mean, this map just sucks from the view im seeing. And im sorry bungie, but it looks like to me that you guys just threw this map together and took no time at all. I think you guys should have taken alooooot longer to make this map, put the pieces together, and made a lot better of a map. But ow well, something to look foward to i guess. IT seems today, that all you see, is violence on movies and sex on tv, but where are those good old fashioned values,,, on which we used to relyyyyyyyyyy,, lucky theres a family guy, lucky theres a man who, positivly can do, everything that makes us, LAUGH AND CRY, hes, a, fam, llyyy guyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Codemaster, hit me up when the 360 has something to show other than Gears of War, i.e. the 360 completely blows. From what I've seen of it compaired to the PS3-spec demos @ E3, not even all you snot-nosed Bungie blowers hounding your parents for H3 will be able to save it from suckatude.
