Had a thing with a girl who was into BDSM. Never did any of that (just not how we worked. We usually had it in the heat of the moment, and she wouldn't carry that shit around everywhere she went) and I never did find a middle ground between what she wanted and what I wanted. Should I actually try it? It doesn't seem like my thing, but still.

Well, you never really know until you experiment with it, so i'd say give it a go. Worst comes to worst you find out you're not into it, nothing lost, nothing gained. At least that's usually how I go about things, but that's just me. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. :)
