Is anyone else NOT experiencing the variety in drops that was assured with the series of updates released leading up to and after the launch of the Taken King? Reason I'm posing the question: For a Dad of Destiny such as myself, it can take a while to rank up your faction rep and to acquire some of the heavily sought after gear out there. I was thrilled to read they were going to make drops less redundant, increasing the chances the next drop would bring what you were hoping for. However, as my Dead Orbit rank reached 22, 23, and just recently 24, I nearly chucked my controller. I received the same Dead Orbit gauntlets for each faction rank up that I received when I reached rank 21. To make matters more frustrating, each new set was a lower defense rating than the original pair that dropped at rank 21. I was more than satisfied with getting them in the first place, but giving me the same item 3 more times? Seriously?? I know that ultimately this is getting me closer to a faction quest and by scrapping the extras I'm getting wonderful legendary marks, but it's a little deflating to experience the same thing 4 times in a row. Has anyone else experienced this frustration despite all the updates that were to include patches addressing said struggles?
