Old raid gear and weapons
No one will probley care for this other than me. I'd like to know if some time in the future will my older raid weapons or gear be beneficial to me like they were when the etheric light was around. I got into the Vault of Glass late and grinded for Crota's drops. Plus some others like The Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris. I personally can't bring myself to just discard the memories and fun times I shared with my friends when we held contests to see who could get a full collection of the gear and set of weapons.
If their going to remain downgraded can a kiosk or some way for me to access these be added in as a suggestion? Including what RNG my not of dropped? (Yes I still use the old stuff sue me)

1 ReplyI still have all of my raid gear sitting in my Vault also. I like to use the weapons like my fatebringer of vision to complete the bounties when you have to do a special type of damage ( Arc, Solar, Void ) and the elemental primaries still come in handy when you have a mission that has a burn to it. I also think a Kiosk would be cool so that we could free up the vault space and see what we are missing but until that happens it will sit in my vault

most likely no, you can keep or scrap them, personally i scrapped all my year one trash

Keep them - nostalgia. Also, maybe one day Bungie will add them up to year 2 levels. One can certainly hope...

I'd love to use my Fate Bringer again...Black Hammer....a lot of Year 1 weapons were really fun to use for different circumstances...but unless you're running through Year 1 activities now they're pointless. Bungie has made all of that Year 1 stuff just a stepping stone towards all of the new stuff...which is great if you're a brand new player who just bought the game yesterday. Not so great for the rest of us who grinded hours upon hours to get that stuff. My sister did Vault of Glass every week on 3 characters for almost an entire year and never got Praetorian Foil...she was mad at me for getting it right away when I started playing Destiny back in May-June of this year. She has it now, and it's useless. Bumping your post.
