Which tower faction (FWC, Dead orbit, new monarchy) is doing the right thing?
Future war cult seems to believe there will be nothing but war, dead orbit wants to flee the solar system because there is nothing worth staying for and to leave what ruin is left behind and new monarchy seem to believe that well a new monarchy could help the last city in a good way. personally I'm loyal to the new monarchy but I want to see how you feel about the factions and their intentions.

1 ReplyFWC if you want peace, you must prepare for war. New monarchy is a trap. Consolidating everyone under one banner just means you are suppressing a portion of the community. Differing points of view are critical to survival. Dead Orbit is practical, but we'll never outrun the darkness. Yes, we should expand, but we're gonna hafta fight either way.

There's a great cyclical universe theory out there based on in-game quotes, text and their relation to real life myth, the stranger's lore and the known dark souls influence over Bungie. Basically time is repeating and we are fated/doomed to fight the darkness over and over again. You could even say it's our... [b][i]Destiny.[/b][/i] [spoiler]watch vid :p[/spoiler]

The Future War Cult has foreseen the coming war, and it is coming. Our "device" has allowed us glimpses into the future. The final war with the darkness will bring about great suffering. Death and chaos will consume the last of the light, and the light of the traveler. Some people call us madmen or just crazy fanatics. They are the mad ones. We will be ready when no one else is. Some people call us secretive. There is a reason for that. Some secrets are best left unknown, for they may be to much for some to bare (subjects of the "device" went quite mad after testing). The New Monarchy has a noble goal. Uniting all who live in the Last City under a single banner, a single ruler. Admirable...but mistaken. They fail to realize that the Darkness will not be held back by the petty walls of the Last City. The Darkness will engulf the Last City. We barely held onto it during the Battle of Twilight Gap, and the final war will make that little skirmish look insignificant. No ruler, no form of government can stop the Darkness. Now Onto Dead orbit. They want to flee into space, with the hopes that we will find a new planet to inhabit. I'm sorry, they don't like it when I use the word "flee" they prefer "an exodus to the stars." There plan will fail, miserably. the Leaders of Dead Orbit can fool themselves into thinking that the darkness won't come after them...but it will. It will hunt them across the stars. Whether it be an unknown world, a barren moon, or a crevice, the darkness will find where we hide and extinguish our light. The Future War Cult is preparing. The Final War will be unlike any other. It will determine the survival of our species. After the Last City has fallen and the Darkness at the cusp of victory, The Future War Cult will meet it on the barren plains of our once beautiful earth. We will fight until every man, woman, and child has met their end. Some may disagree with our methods. Let them. We know what must be done to win this war and it will come at a heavy price. For the greatest changes in history required the greatest sacrifices.

New Monarchy wants to appoint a new king (a plan that hasn't really worked well throughout history), but doesn't seem to have a grasp on any candidates in particular. FWC is a bunch of war-crazed manics who don't seem to have a plan as to what happens after the war is over. Dead Orbit wants to hatch a suicidal escape plan outside the solar system with little idea as to what they'll find out there.

Us New Monarchy loyalists are here to help secure the future for Humanity. My concern with the FWC is although they are courageous and a useful ally, if all you strive for is war, when the Darkness is defeated will you turn on your own to continue to fulfill your lust for war? As for Dead Orbit, all it's members achieve by leaving is weakening our position on the last city. That said action does need to happen, and ultimately many will choose to stay or flee. In order for the best decision we need an elected Monarch that can help guide us through these difficult times. The Speaker is not fit for purpose with all the secrecy's and hidden agenda's.

I'm in FWC I think if we are going to win we need to have a war. We need to go into enemy territory and start killing major enemy leaders.

for me I did Warlock FWC Titan Dead Orbit Hunter New Monarcy. I like FWC the most.

Well should we ever come out on top in the war against the Darkness the one thing humanity does well is breed. We will need more space to colonize and expand so I'd say Dead Orbit is pretty forward thinking.
