Any guardians with carpal tunnel

I just got told by my doctor that I'm developing carpal tunnel in my left hand, any guardians out there have this problem and have any advice with some kind of stretch or something. I'd like to play for longer than an hour at a time without it going numb.

  • I haven't got carpal tunnel yet but am getting very painful hands which go numb from time to time. I decided to try a wrist splint for it, cost about £7 on Amazon and it has helped me no end. It prevents you from bending your wrist inwards and apparently it is that very thing that can cause it. Make sure to go for one that stops just short of your fingers, that way you can still grip the controller and thus far this is about the only thing preventing me from having to stop gaming. Hope you find the best solution for it, preferably one that allows you to carry on gaming

I haven't got that but I have got general wear and tear as the docs put it and that effects my gaming time. best thing to do is take a break for a hour when the pain kicks in or do what I do and flight tbrough it and suffer later hahaha

      • Take a 3 minute break every 15 minutes. Also don't bend your wrists while you're playing. If you keep your wrists in line with your forearm, you'll reduce the pressure of your carpal tunnel, which will reduce the swelling and keep your hand from going numb. Also, ice when you can/when you start going numb. -I have a BS in physiology from UCLA

          • Probably in my wrists. Haven't had a doc tell me yet but it hurts sometimes. Wouldn’t be surprised.

          • Got trigger finger, I do a lot of heavy lifting and art, my fingers lock up a bunch. Have to take meds and soak them in hot water.
