Hi,
When you say you received 2 shards and 1 cheats, do you mean chest? If so, that was your extra drop.
The chest was most likely your extra roll and the shards were probably your normal roll (much like how you could get shards or energy as a drop from previous raids)

The chest most likely represents the standard roll on Oryx's loot table. I expect that the if the 2 shards were gained separately from the chest, they were probably the "extra" loot provided by the 20 shards. I've read on these forums before of other people getting one or two shards in return for 20 shards. If that is the case, it is a stupid system and needs fixing.

I have 19 shards now if I kill oryx again on the same character now can get another drop

You need 20. You can buy the extra one from Eris if you need to. As for getting an extra drop, probably not if you've already killed Oryx. You could go in with another fire team, help them kill Oryx and potentially get another reward, but I honestly don't know. Try it and find out :). Let us know what you learn.
