Weekly What's Update
Nothing to write home about this week, but a few useful snippets nonetheless. We discuss a sad but small delay, the Halo 2 soundtrack, cheating (of course) and some impressions of the Xbox 360.

So will there ever be any new warthogs or even the tight atv that the first pics displayed? or will we just be left with the boring warthogs? Whats up with 2v2 lvls? foundatoin(one team ends up geting both rockets and just murder the other team regardless of skill) and beaver creek(CTF/ slayer guy with oversheild gets rocket and owns the other two) O why not any more new maps pics? 911, i need a whaaaaaambalance ASAP!!!

ehhh bungie, just recently i had a prob with the stupid passport thingy. i got passport, after a greuling accnt setup, but now when i want to sign in to ur site, it asks for passport account, and i do as it says, but from there i cant access my old account! It only asks if i want to create a new 1!!! PLZ HELP BUNGIE!!!

sometimes when i play teamslayer, maybe half of my team quits because our team is 1 point lower than the enemys score.1 POINT LESS, AND YET THEY QUIT!!!! and one time i was extremly unlucky enough to have all my teammates quit because they kept getting killed. this was on colossus, and i happen to be wandering around the level edge, looking for a good weapon, then i notice there are no teammate gamertags around. then i really felt very much alone. but then i also realized, i face 4 enemys that havent quit the game, and they happen to be very good at racking up points. and beaver creek seems to hate me! i have played a whole ton of games on that map and every single one of them i have lost! i do really well on other maps, but this one really hates me!

are you talking about the wraith or spectre? the wraith fires big blue plasma balls high in the air but doesnt hold anybody but 1 driver, but with like 2 second reload.or the spectre, which has 2 passenger seats, 1 driver, and 1 gunner?

You either forgot to lace that comment with sarcasm or you have not played very much halo. As soon as it's okay to kill your teamates, spawns will suck if your team is losing. When your team is down they tend to argue amongst and then someone tries to be "funny" by killing another teamate. If you think they should just be allowed to kill all on screen in a team based game then you should just play rumble pit games. XBOX 360 I read that the wireless will be chargeable through the usb ports and have internal rechargeable batteries. HALO 3 Bill gates announced on the 13th that Halo 3 will be released at the time of the PS3 launch. So why does bungie deny that they have even decided what game they are doing next? It is not Microsoft holding you back anymore if Gates is stating publicly that Halo 3 will be a synchronized release with PS3.

HS}Bounty Hunter asks, What are you guys doing about matchmaking quiters. It really hurts when your teammates just quit on you, and the other team pawns you. Although its really nice to beat the other team single handedly, it rarely occurs. I would like to know if you have any ideas of how to punish quitters, and yet help their teammates. Like say subtract half of that persons kills from the other teams. Or, don't count have of the other teams lowest kills person. I would enjoy seeing the quitter punished, but since i usually have a quitter on my team, i'll probably suffer the consequences, too. I would really like a solution to come to all this madness. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I've heard that 360 will almost be $500. Which is the price of a low-quality laptop - BUT STILL A LAPTOP! Except it's a low-quality laptop you can only play games and put music on. Good god.... How much better can gaming get than xbox other than an actual PC? NOT MUCH! Microsoft should just keep updating xbox like it's been doing instead of forcing players to spend half a grand on a new gaming consol. Xbox pretty much has unlimited memory and top of the line graphics. Not to mention the most resources via the its producer Microsoft. PS3 will sell tenfold what 360 will simply because its Sony which is Japan-marketed. Microsoft gets most its sales in America and Europe. Sony gets world wide. The PS3 consol will sell more than 360 hands down. I hate Sony, but it's a fact. Now, instead of attempting to out do them in sales (especially with a $500 consol) just MAKE BETTER GAMES. The only reason people buy Xbox is for Halo. I wonder why people will buy 360 then? Oh yeah, release H3 on it and force a spending of roughly $600 to beat Sony in annual income! I forsee broken dreams and broken hearts in 2006. Like MS doesn't have enough money as it is... instead of making more, just build a fan base. Between a $600 investment of a consol and one game (not to mention a possible new live subscription?) and whatever Sony will dish out worldwide for half the price - who's going to win?

I used to be a huge Bungie fanboy. Since Marathon. But after reading this latest update, where they say there is nothing to write home about... no info... blah blah. Well the cheaters are already taking over the leaderboards. The Hackers are manipulating matchmaking. Yet Bungie has nothing to say. I just don't get you anymore, Bungie. I'm past being frustrated. I getting to the point where I don't even care anymore. I used to have fun playing your game online. Now I find myself just shrugging my shoulders. I know. I know. I'm just one fan. You can writre me off. It's no big deal. I'm not really a member of the 7th Column anyway. It's just a dream.

by the way, on containment, you can get outside of the map? on top of each base( be directly in front of a base, doesnt matter which one.) that really tall bronze colored tower, ( which is the super huge tower just behind each base) you can get on top of it!!!! it takes a spectre. right where it spawns at, the rock wall next to it, you need to drive at that from going up the ramp at such an angle, that the spectre will stick to the wall! you can drive around on the wall( takes a little practice, so you must have extreme patience) and somewhere there is a spot where the invisible barrier wont stop you. I have tried many times and couldnt do it. the person who told me this, his gamertag is killsnipe. he knows how to do it, because he should me how to do it( but i cant remember where the spot on the invisible barrier doesnt keep you from going any higher is at!) he took me all the way up there! you can see all of the map from up there!!! so before you go on your quest up the mountain of a tower, be sure to bring lots of sniper ammo, and some of your teammates up there. make sure your teammates are holding rocket launchers( maximum ammo for them too!) that way, when an enemy is in a vehicle, your teammates can shoot them down. try to bring both sniper rifle and beam rifle, both with maximum ammo, because you will probably miss your target from all the way up there. on the sniper rifle reticle, the little dot in the middle of it, your enemy's body are smaller than that!( so you better be a great shot with sniping weapons, because up there, it will test your marksmanship greatly!!!!) or, if you are not satisfied, you can just jump off of the tower, but you will hit the invisible barrier below it, which can be a problem if you really want down from there. but if you are playing CTF, you can jump off, hope you hit the gap above the base,( so if anybody takes your flag, they'll be right below you, so then you can snipe them out while standing on nothing!!!!!!!) and be right above your flag, so literally, there is nothing you can do to not be able to look at your flag. so you can really protect it from up there, and the enemy that you kill below you wont know where you are!!!!! BE WARNED!!!!! ONCE YOU JUMP OFF AND HIT THE BARRIER, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO COME DOWN! ONLY WAY TO GET DOWN IS TO BE KILLED!!!you were warned........ if you have something to say about this, please feel free to do so!

I was told the xbox 360 was going to be like $300. is this true, because i really dont have that kind of money. and, will xbox 360 have Live on it, because i love playing xbox live a lot, and i dont want it to be just multiplayer and campaign. it would suck!. i would play the Halo 3 campaign mode at least once or twice, but i want to be able to play against other people all over the world, and hopefully be able too find my friends on it too. and please at least add some new vehicles and some more weapons, like gatlin gun or somethin! I was told that Halo 3 was being released at the same time as the PSX(playstation 3), and someone told me that their was going to be a Halo 2.5 on the Xbox 360 system. Is this true?

I suffer from extreme lag when i play xbox live....has anyone suffered or is suffering from this as well?.....if you did suffer and are no longer suffering can you let me know what you did to stop the lag...... I am talkin to the folks from xbox live but of course they are no help whatsoever.
