Playing TK with different GTs in the same household/console. Needs official answer from Bungie.

Seen many people going batty because brother/sister/husband/wife/GF/BF/dog/cat are having issues accessing TK on the same console they all play on. This question applies to Digital stand alone upgrade. Please clarify and sticky into the HELP section. If gamer owns Destiny 1 (Hard copy or digital) both DLCs and TK stand alone upgrade, will gamers on this same console be able to play TK? I cannot imagine you would make each family member buy TK, right? Right. Thank you in advance for clarification.

  • As a general rule, players will only be able to access the content that they own the license for. Features like “Gameshare” are not supported by Bungie. This is subject to Platform policy. Here are some helpful links to learn about how content is shared across the different platforms on which you can play Destiny. • I have a xbox one and purchased the taken king $40 digital download, me, my wife and my son all have access to it, just not at the same time of course. The download goes by console, and the primary account holder. As long as the primary account holder downloads and purchased the taken king, others on the system should have no issues playing. (at least that's how it seems to be working for me).

    • Also, there's a typo in Activision's software agreement, you should tell them to fix it, looks bad for such a big company. • I'm on 360. If I sign in with BOTH my account that I purchased ttk with and my girlfriend's account, then my girlfriend can play the content like she's supposed to be able to (as stated in the usage restrictions when purchasing). I sign in on with a second controller, which can be turned off, but my account has to stay logged into XBL It's not ideal, but until a better solution comes along it works.

        • I purchased the digital TTK on first Xbox one and we all could play. I re downloaded it on my second Xbox one and only I could access TTK. I ended up buying a physical disc so the kids could play upstairs. Pretty sure its the wave of the future for digital.

            • As far as I know. As long as the owner of the dlc is signed on at the same time as another account, you can play it. I have 2 accounts and play on both just fine

              • No, you literally HAVE to buy a copy for each account playing as they do not support account-shared licenses for TTK
