I'm pretty sure she is alive, and in the final cutscene with Eris it seems like she is talking about the Queen. Especially when you consider the Queen's line in the beginning about one of her "Hidden" guiding the guardians.

Yeah, there are also grimoire cards from HoW that seem to detail secret conversations that the queen or her brother have with Eris.
