Oh I'm sorry, it's hard to detect sarcasm when I'm typing instead of talking face to face. This is just an update and not TTK so expect a bit of change in a week or so. Cosmetics aren't the only things we are getting in a massive expansion.

I'm sorry that you want to use the same things for the 10 year life span of this game but it's good for the game to progress forward. You can still use old stuff in crucible but it won't be as good in endgame content. Why do you consider this a bad thing that we get a whole bunch of new stuff and that our old stuff in going to become useless?

Where everything previous is useless and only the current stuff is good. But wait? What goes on between now and then? Vast expanses of improved story telling. Let things go man. The game is here to make you have FUN. Not use the same things week after week, month after month, year after year. Embrace change.

No I want to be able to play the game, have fun, experiment with builds, look the way I want without having to constantly grind just to stay relevant. I couldn't help but to chuckle at the "you don't appreciate the depth of this game" BS. A kiddie pool has more depth than this game. I'm going to say this one more time for you: it's not about the gear, although the gear is the incentive, it's about the content. The content is not worth playing. You are forced to play the flavor of the month and that is it in order to stay relevant. You won't go back and play VoG or CE because the rewards aren't worth it. And WoW is testament to that fact. All you do is create a power creep along with tons and tons of dead content.

And I will say this one more time for you: don't play the game if you don't like it. It's about having fun in the moment. You can go back and play all the old stuff for nostalgia if you want to. It's not irrelevant if it's still there. What is irrelevant is all the gear you get from it. But what everything is about is for the fun in it. And by the way your talking to me, it sounds like you don't have fun with the game. So don't play it.

I don't know what a main class has to do with any of this, probably just nothing more than pointless rhetoric that has nothing to do with the argument. Which is all you have been doing. I'm providing a problem and a solution to the problem based on facts, whereas all you've been doing is telling me to quit the game. Seriously use your brain for just a second

Your solution is to make all the old stuff relevant which would not be helpful to move the game forward. This would make everyone still use all the old stuff that is the best and never anything else. Now. The gear from the past cannot come forward with the gear coming out in order to make this game go forward. That's just how it will work. Bungie doesn't want the same stuff to be used for 10 years even though you want to use what you love. Your exotics are the only things you should become fully attached to since they will most likely stick with us for a while. Other than that, the grind is part of the game. And if the best stuff to get in the game is the most current stuff, that's what you'll grind. But when you hit the wall when you are done with the grind and get burnt out, then you get more diverse and start using different things. I'll admit it. I don't wanna get rid of my LDR with Outlaw and Spray and Play. But I do know that she has to be sacrificed in order to move forward with the game and embrace the changes. All of the new stuff coming next week will provide a new grind and a new incentive to do what's fresh and get the best gear. Keep everything you want to in order to look pretty but when light matters, that's when you'll have to use something different. It would be nice if they included transmogrification that way you can keep old gear to look like that but still be at the highest light level attainable. Sadly, we probably won't see that till Destiny 2. Only time will tell.
