New ghost voice thoughts
The new voice sounds like a little boy not a man. I can't stand to hear it while I'm playing. What are ur thoughts? Is this bugging you? Can't imagine that squeaky non man voice in my ear when it's time to do the raid

2 RepliesIt's actually quite painful. I wen't to start up a new titan. Sure Ive got the Bias that Dinklage is an amazing actor from a phenomenal show, and yes.. there's no way Bungie will ever bring him back. Theyd have to pay him more (which is what they did not want to do in the first place).. and almost admit they made a mistake with their current voice actor. He really sounds 100% like some1 getting way too over excited& worked up reading something... typically found in people who are Clearly trying too hard. Peter Dinklage did sound like he wasn't giving it a lot of effort.. but he was, he was giving the amount of effort acting he gives without breaking a sweat (and for him thats still amazing compared to most b-class actors) I really have no idea how they plan on changing this.. partially due to the fact they'll say sort what I stated above "What? Our first Voice Actor didnt have enough emotion but our second has too much?? When will these people be pleased!" If they truly need/want to keep the current voice actor.. they outta have 3 levels of excitement aha.. sure I want my Ghost to sound better than Microsoft Sam, but a lil robotic wouldnt hurt :/ + Did no one at Bungie consider Nolan Norths performance to be an issue? Like did absolutely no one who tested the game-out find anything wrong with it? Or did they just not want to be the ones to bring it up... if any1 working @ bungie got shammed for disliking Nolans representation of the travelling companion of every destiny player .. I hope they get an apology (theyd deserve one)

In the beginning I didn't like him, but if you listen to other droid/robot voices in shows/movies/other games, he's pretty similar to what's out there. Northbot has grown on me.

hate it, and wish i could turn off the ghosts voice completely it now sounds like a gay C3PO

I hated the new ghost voice before ttj dropped, but he's not that bad in the cut scenes for ttk. Or maybe I'm just getting used to him lol. But I do miss dinklebot. May he forever rest in peace.

1 ReplyI've been running through some of the story missions and whilst a lot of people don't like it I don't think it's too bad. The only problem is certain lines ([i]we've awoken the hive[/i]) still sounds awful. At points it's like Nolanbot is pleasantly suprised that we're in danger rather than scared or angry

2 RepliesI tried. I understood that going from Dinklage to North was going to be a BIG change. Just cannot get past North's pitch and cadence. Perhaps the new material will be better (if I actually buy TTK) but it just seems like North is trying too hard to be different.

It's not the voice that I like, it's the character the north gave the ghost. The way he says some of the lines makes it sound like ghost actually cares about what's going on.

1 ReplyI like it. I really don't get the hate. He's more emotive, the pitch isn't grating in the slightest, and he just fits the design in a way I can't fully explain. Are people really that sensitive?

Imagine this scenario: We finally fight our way to Oryx with our fireteam, and Eris is counting on us. Then our Ghost tells us this.. "After all this time we can finally defeat Oryx. Okay guys like circle time. If we can take down Crota then Oryx is just a bigger bully who's gonna fall harder because he's so tall. We can do this Guardians. We can kick Oryx's Hive hinny for good!!!!!" Then after we defeat Oryx Stephen Lynch comes and sings about the death of Oryx and Crota in the same exact pitch as Nobot.
