Is quality over quantity better for Destiny's missions?

I've heard some mixed reviews about Destiny's general missions and thought I would ask what you guys think... When playing other / older games, the story missions were very long, more challenging and contained a details towards the main story (part of me may be referring back to the halo days). Part of me also feels that these missions in Destiny so far are just short, bounty grinding quests which don't tell the story in a way people pick up easily. I believe that future DLC's should contain less missions, but make each of them much longer and meaningful. That's just my opinion, and am really just looking for your guys opinions?

  • IMO, they need a introduce a formal campaign/story in which most of the missions plus new info is added to tell a proper story. Then they need to add quest chains to certain NPCs that involve doing shit like recovering data from the golden ages. This has no bearing on the story but is like a side mission. Like a dozen or so quests per NPC. So like 100ish quests plus new stuff with each DLC. Basically you would doing grunt for each of em. Strikes need to be extended to include multiple boss fights, more deadly adds, maybe some more story to them, etc. Raids do a good job of tying in with story, but I think they need more length. I wish Destiny had healing and tanking mechanics that were necessary for strikes and raids. It would be much more interesting and challenging than gunning down a line of enemies.
