Training to be a luthier?
-
Going mainly to learn how to take care of my instruments properly, but I'm not ruling it out as a career option :)
-
Nice! I was considering becoming a luthier since I love guitars, but I ended up going to school for CNC Programming, which I can use to make guitars! I actually helped make a Flying V body out of butter board for a school project, it was pretty fun
-
How'd it sound?
-
Oh, lol Just made the body, didn't have time to make the whole thing
-
Ahh I see
-
Nice stuff. All the interfaces, DAWs and whatnots get expensive fast.
-
They sure do
-
I put all my money towards live gear (have a Jackson RR5 and a 6505 stack) and now I'm stuck with line 6 pod farm and reaper to do any kind of demo recording xP
-
Pod farm ain't a bad way to go for demo recordings, and reaper is a great software! If you have the bucks for it, BIAS is a great alternative to pod farm. I use it to layer sounds for guitars and bass all the time. Works great.
-
I have seen and heard great things about BIAS. The guys from Periphery, Ola Englund, Fluff - all those guys have made some nice demos of it!
