When there were pictures posted up of E3 (I can't for the life of me remember what exact site it was) I laid eyes upon palm-sized foam engrams. Within a cluster of engrams in one picture were the various colors representing Uncommon to Exotic (Green-Yellow), but what really got my attention was a "Black Engram". Now my colorblind settings might have been acting up LOL So my question to you my Liege, is this just a coincidence or is there something more that we are looking at here? Edit: I believe I found the picture but not for certain. In this picture it looks as though it may be a Green Engram under poor lighting. What are your thoughts Guardians? Either way, would it not be awesome to witness a Black Engram drop from Taken bosses!!!!!!!??????? How epic would it be to not only receive ONE guaranteed badass item from a boss battles, but to also have the chance of them dropping an elusive Black Engram as a kicker? It would be as rare as an elemental weapon drop from Skolas or even more so. The possibilities!!! I know the release date is near, and if there is in fact no such Engram, maybe there will be ;) Bungie listens Guardians... Thank you all for taking the time to study and decrypt this bad boy. Collectively we are torn between Green and Black, but as I have mentioned to the comments of many, just the idea of having a super rare chance of dropping a Black Engram from bosses alone would be EPIC!!!!!!! That of course is just my opinion :P Edit: I just thought of something that would add hype to such an Engram..... What if the said engram didn't display a picture of the type of item it holds, but only a solid black engram icon with a thin glowing white border and a dark dust-like cloud (representing a Taken-specific reward) as it smashes against your screen... BOOM!!!! Furthermore building the anticipation of rushing to decryt this monster. This is similar to when some of us back in the day bought the blacked-out Mystery Hot Wheels cars. It could only be one of two reward pools, either a boss specific item (weapon, armor, class item, artifact, etc.) or any exotic within the game. Edit: This post is intended to not only introduce the idea of a "Black Engram" possibly existing, but also to speculate as to the locations, rarity, contents, and such connected to this gem of drop.
