EDIT: This post was made way before Taken King came out. I was not aware of the new exotics at the time. Do check the replies for strong builds from the community.
To prepare for TTK a would-be Nightstalker will need two things...
Don't Touch Me and Monte Carlo
I apologize for exclusivity.
So your question is "Why?"
Don't Touch Me has the Inverse Shadow perk which normally can only be found on helmets.
Yes, it also stacks with Inverse Shadow on helmets. Supertrapper all the time O_O
Monte Carlo is an auto rifle that has chance to recharge your melee on a kill and it procs a lot. So much so that you don't need to stat for Strength. Guess what the Nightstalker melee is?
SMOKE. You throw smoke that will slow and disorient enemies. You can even increase the duration and size of it through the skill tree.
DTM and Monte Carlo will allow you to be a Master Support Ninja.
That is all.

Edited by Samot50: 9/21/2015 5:49:48 AMIt'd be better to use monte carlo, vanish in smoke, graviton forfeit, and keen scout. monte carlo will charge your smoke more often which you can use to turn invis and res people or turn others invis to protect them from damage. keen scout will let you mark targets and see chests as well as get a better radar. and graviton forfeit will grant shadestep, allowing you to use it in combination with vanish in smoke and roll in, res, and roll out. I've tried it out and it is a beast for being the last one standing or soloing things. I was even able to get through the abyss on CE by myself using this build except dont touch me instead of GF (mostly because there was no one to res).

Sounds like a Flashbang grenade that sticks around for a bit. A little OP in Crucible maybe?

The inverse shadow perk was fixed.
