My thoughts

Okay so first off this is opinion and epure speculation. Feel free to discriminate and be salty. I'm just expressing what I believe is going to happen. In the recent weekly update they addressed many weapon changes and rebalancing. The most controversial is the Gjallarhorn. Which is making the wolf pack rounds do less damage. No one nows exactly the amount of reduction. Any numbers being said are just speculation. Bungie said that it will be rebalanced, but still maintain it's legacy. The Gjallarhorn will be still sought after just as it today, it will still be the beautiful killing machine that we have all -well most of us- have grown to love. The base rocket will still do the same damage, which is immense. The Gjallarhorn's base rocket does more damage than the Truth even with void burn on. So really, there shouldn't be too much to worry about. They also said that the Taken King will come with an arsenal bigger and better that of vanilla Destiny. Hundreds of weapons will be added. So this means that there will most likely be weapons that are simply better and more efficient than what we already have. It's time to move forward with gear and the only way to do that is to let go of what we have, in order to create an ever expanding loot table. If we hold on to the weapons and gear we currently have, there will be almost no room for anything new. So in my honest opinion, I feel we, as a community, need to come together and embrace what opportunities we will have to harness new firepower. Who knows, maybe the Taken King will come with a rocket launcher that is more efficient than Gjallarhorn or more weapons with ammo regeneration. What we should realize is that The Taken King is going to come with a lot of new perks and new weapons that will make most prior weapons inferior. Just a thought. Feel free to comment what you think or voice your opinions. There is always room to grow and expand as a community and it starts with communication and collaboration.
