I do not understand why people get so defensive or hurt or even upset about being teabagged.
It is literally virtual pixels moving up and down in a squat (an in game command mind you) over your virtual (dead) pixels.
When I am bagged I have a little chuckle and swear to do it back to them if I happen to get a close ranged kill on said bagger.
I have read countless threads about how upsetting it is and how Bungie needs to stop it.
I just want to know, if people are that upset by this, then what do they do in real life situations of disrespect?
Besides, baggers are risking their lives thanks to self rez warlocks in this game.
***EDIT***
100+ replies. First for me. Thanks everyone.
***EDIT 2***
I have been muted by someone for the first time. Thank you, it was a privilege and an honor.

I personally find it incredibly disrespectful, regardless of how the player on the other side is doing it, whether it's to pump you up or flat out humiliate you. As far as I go, I mainly just hunt players down who teabag me and give them a bit of payback. I don't do it for any other reason.
-
I find it deplorable. You are aware that a good many of the players are minors. Think about that next time this player may be in grade school.
-
I think it shows cowardice since they are probably wimps in real life.
-
Yes, and when people say -blam!- you, they are just making noises.
-
It's actually hard to teabag with the new Hunter Exotic Helm. If you press circle twice, you perform shadestep if you are a Nightstalker
-
I LOVE getting tea bagged, gives me a target to look for! I like having some friendly disrespect going on, makes things interesting :)
-
I let Karma take over. If I get teabagged, I call a fireteam member over to drop a Nova Bomb. Problem solved.
-
I don't care as long as the person who teabagged me is the person who killed me. I was playing skirmish with these 2 low level guardians and they teabagged every person I killed. I found it really annoying.
-
And sometimes payback's a bitch! Apologies for the temporary use of Thorn; it was a case of can't beat em join em
-
Ladies and gentlemen, Latest news coming in. It has been announced that if your character is female, we will refrain from calling it 'teabagging'. From now on, it will be known as 'Clam Slam'. That is all.

I don't mind a little celebration over my death as long as you earned it... Using crutches does not constitute as a passage to Bag.
-
As a girl it is not teabagging for I love to twat stamp your dead body
-
You ever go to a midnight release or a gaming convention? Those weird dudes who give that rapist vibe...those are the guys that bitch about everything on the forums.
-
when I first got teabagged back in the Halo days I laughed for a good 5min straight during a match and then proceeded to teach my friends and family. I hardly do it in Destiny, I reserve it for my griffball or SWAT games mostly

my comment on this topic lol: aaaah the good old teabagging..there is nothing else in world like this. Finish another male and then start rubbing your balls to his face. A real male(???) oughts to do this to another male. Doesn't he ? A man to man (hm???) action that give pleasure to all straight(???) males there. Personally I find it funny. Neither humiliating nor depressing etc etc. When I see doing 'teabagging' the only I see is a player that performs some kind of gymnastics to strengthen his quadriceps. Sorry, but this is what I only see. If I do not see the guardian naked with all the hairy balls coming out wild and fill every inch of my TV, then I will never feel that I am teabagged. Again sorry. If you would like to have e-mote with teabagging, in which the animation includes : guardian takes off his clothes as in 9 1/2 weeks movie and starts bending knee showing his pride, then you have either to make a special order to Bungie or to visit some porn site. I guess that Bungie could include it in a separate DLC for $40. $40 because the Kim Basinger strip tease animation is complex. Which makes this a lost case; It would be a better investment to give this $40 to the local bitch and do something more realistic, with a woman. An act which also seem less gay. Don't you think?

I teabag all day just to try to get the players I'm killing fired up. I do miss the glory days of halo 3 when teabagging a corpse made their bodiedls flop up and down though.
-
I find that when I Teabag, the other team begins focusing on me to the detriment of their own score. They become so infuriated that they seek me out in the map even if it kills them. I do it even when I have a poor score, because it pisses people off. when people get angry, they either lose their $H1T and go nuts or they turn into the terminator. Most times they just lose their minds. Psychological Warfare. Blew your mind right? LOL apologies for the horrendous pun at the end

I prefer dancing on the grave to teabagging
-
I teabag any sniper and any thorn/last word user. I usually get hate mail which is totally fine too
-
I just find it wierd to teabag your opponents. Played Skirmsh yesterday, I'm on a team with a lv23, everytime I killed someone and he was nearby, guess who teabagged the poor deaded dude? Of course, it's the lv23. I just thought it was embarassing to do that

In real life? Depends, at work it's a high tension environment and a little physical violence is tollerated to put someone in their place. In public, a few choice, well excecuted words do just fine :)

Edited by Xkillaninja: 7/28/2015 5:40:56 PMI never teabag in regular crucible, but find myself bagging occasionally in trials and elimination. Sometimes you run into that one player that douche try hard that you go 4-0 on and lose 1 round and they bag you. They in turn get super bagged the next round.

I usually get bagged in every game. Player quickly learn this mistake, and I call out to my fire team to let me know when they see that player, and I hunt them in a unrelenting fashion. When I kill them, I simply shake my head no over and over and over again. Sometimes I sit and shake my head no, so they understand that they made a mistake. They ask themselves "oh my god he's killed me 20 times already, is this torture over!?" That's when I come in, sit down, and slowing shake my head no. No, no it's not over. It will never be over bitch
